Zuri: Attack On Titan

The Titans

The Colossal Titan was slamming his large foot into the boulder, put into place by Eren at the gate in his Titan form. The rumbling was threatening to send people plummeting from Wall Rose. His skinless face made him look everlastingly angry. I stare at him. I suddenly see his large, red hand raise. I realize his eyes are locked on me.

I barely dodge the gigantic hand as it rages over the wall towards me. I dive through a space between the fingers. The space slams together right after my foot slides through. I roll over on the wall, feeling my feet lose support. I was right next to the edge of the Wall.

My fingers scrape into the stone of the Wall as I struggle to stay on the it. I suddenly feel a hand on my arm. My father pulls my upwards before grabbing me and shaking me intensely. "Zuri, I don't know why, but this monstrosity of a titan is targeting you!" He yells over the sounds of rumbling as the Titan continues to work on the boulder.

Another green and orange flash dazzles the sky, and I hear an odd roar. I turn and look down to see a Titan with glowing green eyes, messy brown hair, and visible teeth. *Thats Eren..* I think. *Oh My God.. Who knew Titans could be so sexy?*

I shake my head. Eren and Mikasa are meant to be! Besides, Armin has my heart. He always has. I can't go falling for some crazy mix between a Titan and a human. I back away from the edge of the wall. Eren lets out an eardrum splitting roar before slamming his fists into other Titans. This is when I realize the many normal Titans on the ground. Mikasa is using her 3D Maneuvering Device, slicing Titan Neck after Titan neck. Armin is doing the same, though he is not near as efficient as Mikasa.

With My father shaking me and my focus on Armin, watching his every move as if ready to spring after and save him like I always had, I don't see the red hand raise again. I only notice it as It sweeps my father away. I can tell the Titan was aiming for the cannons, but also didn't care for killing people.

I start running, my mind and body not listening to each other. I use my superior speed to run after the hand slicing over the top of Wall Rose. I continually run, beads of sweat already appearing on my forehead. I run beside a dead Scout, and see his 3D Maneuvering Device is loosened from him. As fast as I can, I slap it onto my waist. Of course, I don't know how to use it like a Scout, but I took the beginners class in school for it.

It's harder to run after the hand after that. It seems to become farther away as I run after it. I curse under my breath and use the Device to slide over closer to the hand. My father was almost about to fall over onto the side of the hand towards me. I reach my hand out, and he does the same. The tips of our fingers touch, and I jump and grab him.

I pull him right as the Titan swishes his hand off the wall. He and I both tumble along the Wall for a few moments before I shoot the device grapple into the wall and cling my hand tightly to my fathers. We feel the jolt as the grapple holds our weight from tumbling off the Wall. My father lets out a sound between pain and surprise. I know the pain is from my deathly grip on his hand, but I don't loosen. I was not going to let my father fall off this Wall.

I stand shakily, still holding onto my father. He stands, and I press the button on the device. "Where.. Did you... Get that?" He asks. I don't answer, as Im bent over, trying to keep from throwing up. I hadn't run that fast in years. The last time I had run like that was to try and save my family, and that didn't turn out well.

My father pulls his arm, and I slowly unclench my hand from his. Severe hand cramps force me to wince. I wince so harshly I almost don't see a Titan eating a blonde haired boy. My eyes instantly open wide.

The Titan is eating Armin.

I screech right as the hand raises a third time. I run across the wall as it slams into me. I hear my fathers distant yell as Im swept by the burning red hand. The hot muscle burns into my skin, but I can't feel it. My body is totally numb. *Armin.. Titan.. Eating.. Dead..* The thoughts rushing through my head overwhelm me. I take the sword from my Device and stab the large palm of the hand. It doesn't even hesitate, just keeps moving across the Wall.

I feel the emptiness open beneath me as Im thrown off the stone Wall. I hear the slam as part of the boulder breaks into stone shards, opening the gate to the smaller Titans. I hear Eren's roar as he defends the wall with Mikasa. *I don't think he has even noticed that Armin has been..* The thoughts send tears rushing down my face as I fall.

Then a stone shard slices into my arm.

And there is a dazzling orange and green light.
