Zuri: Attack On Titan

Seeing Zuri

(This Chapter Will Be From Armin's point of View.)

       Seeing Zuri on top of Wall Rose was incredible. It was like my dreams came bursting into real life when she gave me a hug. I was so wrapped up in seeing her that Eren had to pull me off of her. That was when I actually remembered that he and Mikasa were still there. Of course, when I saw Zuri, my nightmare came rushing back to me from our fourth year in school.

        The one where I saw Zuri die because of me.

       For a few moments after seeing her long, shining brown hair and her sparkling crystal grey eyes, the only thing that overwhelmed me was total happiness. Though it didn't make sense to me. I had witnessed her death, being eaten by a 7 meter Titan at Shiganshina District 5 years ago, along with her little brother, Kota. So why is she still alive now?

    "You... You died." I choke out, feeling weak. She looks into my eyes with those crystal grey ones of hers, which are sparkling with affection. "If I were dead, would I be standing here in front of you?" She asks.

      A few joyful moments were spent with Zuri. It was wonderful, one of the best things that had happened since I joined the Scout Regiment with Eren and Mikasa.

Of course, something tragic has to happen right as I reunite with Zuri. The Colossal Titan appears out of nowhere on the other side of Wall Rose, ready to attack. Immediately I was called into duty to start killing the normal Titans below. I drew my swords. I can tell by the light sound she made that Zuri didn't notice my Scout Regiment ware until now.

"Armin, I just reunited with you." She whispers. Her voice is filled with affection, which pains me to hear. "Don't Die. Please." Her please sounds like an angelic voice form a 4 year old asking for candy. I swallow the lump in my throat and look at her. *God,* I think. *Why does she have to be so pretty?* A tap on my arm from Mikasa and I know its time to go. I turn back and shoot off with my 3D Maneuvering Device before Zuri can say anything more.

      The fighting below is brutal. There is a constant crashing noise coming from the boulder, put in place by Eren, where the Colossal Titan is working to dislodge it. Several times, The Colossal Titan shoves his hand across the top of Wall Rose. *What is he going after?* I think as I slit the nape of a small 3 meter. 

     About 5 minutes into the fight I see a crazy orange and green light. Only seconds after, I hear a distorted roar somewhere to my right. *Eren.* I think. *Eren has turned into a Titan again.* And, to be honest, it was a relief. Eren was finally getting the hang of controlling his Titan side.

     I was going for a 7 meter Titan when a crashing sound confirmed the Colossal Titan had taken out the gate. It made me freeze, giving the Titan the opportunity to grab me. I was only inches from his mouth when there was a spatter of blood from behind him. The Titan falls, revealing Mikasa with her swords out on top of the nape of the neck. "Thanks." I say to her. She opens her mouth to say your welcome. She doesn't get the chance.

We both just saw another orange and green flash.

    I turn around in the direction of the Colossal Titan. His head is cocked to be looking downwards. I follow his gaze down to the ground. He is staring at another 15 meter Titan with long brown hair.

And the Titan is beautiful.

The Titan is female, though she is easily taller than the last Female Titan I had seen, Annie. She seemed to be even a bit taller than Eren would be. Long brown hair tumbles down the Titan's back in smooth, beautiful waves. It's eyes are pure silver. 

Whats the most shocking is that the Titan has wings.

     I almost rub my eyes as if they are deceiving me. The wings are feathered, mounted on the Titan's back. Their top is a deep, almost-ominous coal black. As I continue to look at the wings, they fade to a grey in the middle to a white at the tips of the feathers on the bottom. The wings are folded down the Titan's back, as if she doesn't know she has them.

     The Titan slowly gets up from the ground as the Colossal Titan lifts his foot. He moves it until it is right above the new Titan's head. She stands frozen under it, looking straight up at the burning-hot muscle. As the Titan foot starts to move to crush her, the Titan squints. *She knows its trying to crush her,* I think. I feel my eyes widen. *Dear God.. Is it a Titan shifter too?* She doesn't move, though all the other Scouts flinch as Eren lets out an earsplitting roar. He runs over and starts stopping the Colossal Titans foot. 

    The Winged Titan opens her eyes, and sees Eren pushing the foot up. She almost instantly starts helping as wounds start opening up all over Eren's Titan body. When they finally get out from under the Colossal Titan, the oaf of Red-Hot muscle stumbles backwards, crushing several regular Titans in the process.

     A few seconds later, something seems to come over the Winged Titan. Her eyes become wild, and her hair seems to fly crazily over her shoulder. She lets out an earsplitting roar that sounds something like Eren's, but a few octaves higher.

And it stops every other Titan in their tracks. After only seconds of pure silence, they begin to go after the Winged Titan.

    The Winged Titan and Eren lock eyes. Many facial expressions cross the Winged Titan's face. Eren keeps still, his face looking angry with his dark eyes and visible teeth. Then, The Winged Titan spreads her wings, though they shudder a bit, as if she's moving them for the first time. She flaps them once, with an airwave so powerful is knocks some Scouts half-way off their horses.

     The Winged Titan flies over the crowd of Titans with extreme grace. She lands on the other side of the crowd, giving the Scouts room to fight. The Titan mob slowly turns around to attack her. *She and Eren knew that would happen!* I think, astonished. *So it does have intelligence.. It has to be a Titan Shifter!*
