Zuri: Attack On Titan

Looking At Her at 15 Meters

(This Part will be from Armin's point of view.)

I watch with the rest of the group as Zuri approaches the well. She stops abruptly, frozen in her stance with pale skin, her brunette hair falling down her back in a perfect braid. I walk up behind her, pushing her back gently with my hands. She flinches, as if just brought back from an entirely different world. I put my chin on her shoulder, bending down a bit, and she looks at me.

       "You can do it, Z." I say to her. "I know you can." Her silver eyes cloud a bit. "But, if my Titan is 15 meters like you said, won't this well crush her?" She asks, her voice shaky. The thought strikes me like a blow, and it immediately makes me extremely worried for Zuri. *But she HAS to do this experiment..* I think to myself. *Its for the better of humanity.* "No," I say, shaking my head. "Titans of that size seem to have endurance." I think a bit before adding, "Your Titan could just fly out of the hole anyway."

      She shudders, and I dig my chin into her shoulder playfully. She laughs and pushes me off. I look up smiling to see everyone staring at us. I back up into place, after seeing Zuri's face go a very bright red. She clears her throat and puts her hand on the cobblestone of the well, and sits on it. She swings her legs into the well, looking down into it. She jumps, and there is a muted thunk as she lands. Hanji and Levi approach the well to give her instructions while the rest of us are forced to wait silently.

     Levi and Hanji get some sort of response, and then walk away from the well, telling everyone else to back away. We obey, and then wait. And Wait. Levi huffs and begins to walk back over to the well. He gets close enough to it be blown back by the force of energy screaming from the well. All the soldiers instantly draw their weapons on their 3D devices, including me, though I hate myself instantly after.

    Steam covers the area as Zuri's Titan forms. Dirt and debris continues to fly from where the well used to be. The steam finally begins to clear, and I wipe the evaporated water from my forehead. I look to my side to see Mikasa has stepped a little in front of Eren, while Eren himself has his hand hovering over his torso, ready to attack in his own Titan form. The steam fully clears, and the entire unit holds its breath.

The Titan is magnificent.

       It is a normal skin color, with slices of violet ranging from lavender to royal purple randomly spread across its body. It has a female build, with dark brown hair falling loosely down the back. Same goes for the wings, folded on the back of the Titan. She is extremely muscular, unlike the last time we saw this Titan shift of Zuri's. She is half-way stuck in the ground, her legs invisible to the world above the surface.

    Hanji screams in delight, zipping up onto the Titan's shoulder. The Titan turns her head slowly, her hair flipping over her opposite, empty shoulder. Hanji is high enough that we can't hear what she says, but we can guess what was said when the Titan begins to try to remove herself from the hole. Dirt quakes in, burying her deeper into the earth. There is a loud huff of frustrated air as the Titan huffs at the effort of trying to pull herself from the sinking masses of dirt. Hanji falls from the shoulder as the Titan retries this, and Zuri's hand flies up extremely quickly and catches Hanji.

      The entire unit goes still until you would be able to hear a pin drop.

      The Titan is frozen, but then moves her arm in a very twisted backwards motion to replace Hanji on her shoulder. There is a sickening crack sound, and you can visibly see the bone crash into a segment of purple skin. The Titan puts Hanji down, her arm falling limply to her side. There is another crack as the bone almost instantaneously heals itself. Hanji watches the arm for a moment before yelling something up to the Titan. The huge head crane over the empty shoulder, and the wings span out.

      The Titan returns her gaze down to the rest of us, and slowly, her wings flap once. The wind blows a few weaker soldiers down, though it propels the Titan a bit out of the ground. *God,* I think. *Her wings.. their extremely powerful!* The wings flap again, their black tips slicing through the baby blue of the sky. They continue until everyone has to strap themselves to the ground with their devices. When the wind calms down, we all open our eyes to see the Titan hovering at least 7 meters up in the air, looking down at us.

Hanji has strapped herself to the shoulder, and screams something at the Titan. The huge winged giant slowly begins to descend near the hole in the ground. She lands with a thump, rocking the ground. Her wings stop flapping, and Hanji straightens her glasses on her nose before speaking.

"SOLDIERS OF THE SCOUT REGIMENT, I PRESENT THE NEWEST HUMAN WEAPON, ZURI A. MURBIN, THE TITAN WITH WINGS!"
