Chapter 8
Lottie's POV
"What is it Harry?" I was getting worried. Harry talks to me but he never acts this urgent about it. Why couldn't he talk to Louis? That is his best friend.
"We've got to do something special for Belle. Her birthday is coming up, and she told me her parents forgot last year."
"That's horrible. How do you forget your own child's birthday? What else did she say?"
"She said she usually spends her birthday with McKenzie her best friend. They usually go shopping and spend the day together, but since Belle's not back home she's afraid Mckenzie will forget too."
My mind starting wondering. I couldn't imagine people I loved forgetting my birthday. We DID have to do something special. "What do you wanna do Harry? Any ideas?"
"I was for sure thinking about flying her best friend down here and giving her a surprise party but we would have to talk to your mum."
"If you have all the ideas, why do you need my help?"
"We have to talk to your mum. That's where you come in. If I tell her, she will know we are together. We don't want or need her to know for a while."
I now understood why he needed my help. I did have one question however.
"Why don't you want her to know? I respect that I'm just wondering."
"She's an exchange student Lottie," he said putting emphasis on the student. "Meaning she's supposed to study and do projects and stuff. Not move into some British persons house to fall in love with the brother's best friend. So she may not let us be together even though she is cool, and there is quite an age difference."
"That makes perfect sense. You need me to tell my mum because me and Lou are the only ones who know about your relationship. And, she's staying in my room and we are friends I would know this too."
"Exactly Lottie. I'm going up to talk to Louis about it, to see if he has any other ideas to make it special."
"Ok goodnight Harry. Also I think it's sweet you would do this for her."
"I like her a lot I'm going to do what I have to. Goodnight Lottie. Go get the job done."
I turned on my heels and walked around the house to find mum. She most likely wasn't asleep as to its only like 12:30 am.
"Mum! Mum!" I walked around the house yelling almost.
"Lottie shhh, You'll wake Fizz, Phoebe, and Daisy! What do you need darling?"
"Mum, I have to talk to you it's important."
I grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the closest room considering we were in the hallway. "Mum we have to do something extra special for Belle's birthday."
"Yeah, it's coming up isn't it?"
" Yes, two weeks from tomorrow. The 17th of June, but we have to do something extra special."
"Why do you put the emphasis on extra?"
"Mum, Belle poured her heart out to me tonight." I lied she poured her heart out to Harry, but she didn't have to know that. "She said her parents forgot it last year and she knows they'll forget it this year.." I told her my voice trailing off.
"What does she usually do on her birthday?"
"She usually spends it with her best friend McKenzie, but she's afraid McKenzie will forget too since they won't be able to celebrate with each other."
"Do you have any ideas on what to do for her?"
"None. Why don't we have a family meeting? Belle's already asleep so it shouldn't be a big deal to have a family meeting."
"Go get your brother and Harry. I will get Dan."
