The boy beside me gently tapped my shoulder " Can I borrow a pen please, I only have a pencil" He smiled at me showing his pencil. I stuck my hand into my backpack and pulled out a purple pen handing it to him.
"Thanks" He smiled at me again " I'm Ryan".
Was I making a friend? Oh my gosh!? "I'm Stormy" I smiled at him then looking down at my work.
"That's an awesome name!"
"Thanks..Ryan is a nice name too" I laughed a little trying not to feel awkward. He had golden brown hair that hung just above his shoulders. You could tell he had an awesome body and his eyes were that chocolate brown that just sparkles when you look into them.
"I'm a bit new to this school. Today is only my second day" he flipped through the art book.
That actually made me smile even more. Knowing I wasn't the only loner and new student relaxed me a little bit. I flipped through my art book trying to find the words I needed to define.
"It's my second day too. My dad had a job transfer so this is where it landed us" I smirked a little. I liked talking to someone.
"Our old house was a piece of shit so my grandmother offered to buy us a new house here, so I guess that's how we got here"
I then looked at his clothes and could you say rich? He had on Gucci shoes, belt, jeans, shirt and watch on. What he was wearing cost more than both my brothers trucks combine. He didn't act like a snob though which I liked about him. My heart began to beat faster.
"So Ms.Stormy you're the first person to actually talk to me since I got here" he looked down at his paper writing.
" Is that..a bad thing?" I questioned him.
He shook his head smiling at me " I just enjoy having someone to talk to"
" I understand" I picked up my hoodie and slid it on over my body.
"You aren't hot?"
I shook my head "No...I get cold easy" I looked at him.
We made eye contact and butterfly's flew everywhere inside of me. His eyes caught mine making me bite my bottom lip and look away. I liked him already..and not just because he was cute but because he actually talked to me like I was normal. At my old school guys (and girls) called me a freak because I had an anxiety attack in front of everyone.
Having someone actually sit here and get to judge me off of what I say felt..well it felt nice. He wasn't crazy like Patrick and wasn't a total snob. I saw him watching me out the corner of my eye and I blushed a little.
"So what are you doing today after school?"
"Trying out for the swim team" I laughed a little bit.
"Wow really? Me too!" He sounded excited "Iv'e always enjoyed swimming a lot so I thought I mine as well give it a shot ya know?"
"Yeah..I normally don't like to get into school activities but I thought high school would be different"
"So you're a freshman?" he asked still watching me.
I nodded wondering what grade he was in. Electives like art allows any grade group to be in the class so for all I know he could be a senior.
"I'm a Junior" he closed his book watching the clock on the wall. The bell was about to ring.
"You can..um..have that pen since you don't have one.." I smiled not wanting class to end so I could keep talking to him.
