I walked around Patrick and stood beside Ryan. My heart was beating out of control. If my brothers knew he was on the swim team I couldn't be on it any longer. I tried to keep myself calm from having another attack. Twice in one day isn't good. I looked up and made eye contact with Patrick. I could see the anger in his eyes as I stood beside Ryan.

"Yes, me and Stormy know each other very well" Patrick smirked looking at me.

I stood there knowing I was safe in the gym. He couldn't yell in my face or pull some crazy move on me. I looked up at Ryan who was giving me the 'What kind of very well' look. He must think that we had sex or something. Great.

"He's just a friend I met yesterday" I shook my head looking away from him. I could feel his eyes on me.

"Oh so you did have another friend beside me!" Ryan joked around giving me another half hug pulling me against his side. I was so small compared to both of them. I looked around the gym hoping the try outs would hurry up.

"Stormy I'm going to grab a vitamin water from the machine in the locker room, want one?" Ryan asked looking down at me.

"Uh sure" I looked up at Patrick who had a fake smile.

"Grab me one too man, i'll pay ya back after the try outs" Patrick smiled wide.

Ryan let go of me and took off towards the locker room leaving me and him alone. I looked down at the ground trying to avoid eye contact with him. I began to walk away when he grabbed my arm tightly and slung me back to where I was standing.

"You like him" he held on to my arm.

I couldn't answer him. He was causing me to feel uncomfortable and breathing was becoming difficult. Why couldn't he just leave me alone. I don't have to listen to him or answer him. He wasn't my dad.

"Answer me!" He squeezed my arm tighter causing me to wince.

The whistle blew and Patrick let go of my arm and walked towards the pool and away from me. He shot me a glare. I grabbed my arm and felt a tear roll down my face. I looked down and he had left red markes which would lead to bruises. I walked over to the side of the pool with the girls and listened.

"Okay girls we get this half of the pool as you can see. I want all of you get into the pool and start doing laps, but I want you to do seven laps without stopping!"

Seven? Easy. I got into the pool with the girls which by the way was freezing as hell. Once we were in the coach blew the whistle. We all began to swim around the pool. Some faster than others. After a couple of minutes I was on lap four. Some girls had already stopped and had to take a break but the coach told them to get out the pool and wait if they stopped.

I kept going and was on lap 6 with another girl who was right in front of me. Everyone else got tired by lap five. Once we got on the last lap she started to slow down but I didn't I pushed with all my might and was going as fast as I could. I finally passed her and then herd a loud whistle. I stopped swimming once I reached the end and looked around. It was just me and her left in the pool.

The other girls were sitting on the benches pouting and frowning at us. I looked over at her and she smiled at me. She lifted her hand and I gave her a high five. She was cool.

"Alright girls on the bench! Get in the water and give me five more laps! You two! " She pointed at me and the other girl. "You guys are on the team! And you! " She pointed at me " You're the captain!"

My heart stopped. Captain!? I was the- omg! I can't believe it! I made the team and was captain! This rocks! I got out the water with the other girl. That was so easy!
