It's 1924, and I just got a job at the Hotel Cortez. Working at the hotel as a maid it is not my top priority, but it's good enough to get by for now. I want to be a well known singer by the time I check out of the hotel. It's my dream to become a singer, and I figured LA is the perfect place for that.

I finally arrive at the Hotel Cortez, and it is beautiful inside, and out. I walk in and go to the front desk.

"Name?" a older woman asked me.

"Alana Moore." I answered.

"Here is your key, you'll be staying in room 63."

"Thank you."

I walked into the elevator and pushed the button. When I reached the right floor, I start looking for my room, but the hallway is a little confusing, it's like a mirror. I heard a noise coming from a room and I followed it. I found where the noise is coming from, which is room 64, but then the noise stoped. I don't know what the noise was, but I just ignored it and went on into my room. It's a nice room with a classic look to it. *Knock* * knock* *knock*, I went to the door, opened it, and on the other side stood an older woman with dark hair.

"Hello, my name is Ms. Evers are you Miss. Moore?" Ms. Evers asked.

"Yes I am." I replied.

"Here is your uniform, you will be working with me and I will show you how to do your job."

"Okay, when do I start?"

" As soon as you want, you can start tonight at 8:00 if you want to."

"Okay, I'll start at 8:00, thank you."

I unpacked my things and laid out my uniform. "Now, all I have to do is wait."
I puut on my uniform and went down stairs to look for Ms. Evers.

"Ms. Evers!?" I yelled.

"I'm right here." She replied.
"I'm ready to start."

"Okay just follow me. There is something I need to tell you, since you'll be with us for awhile."

"Okay." I followed her to the laundry room.

"Now, let me tell you about Mr. March, the owner of this hotel, he is a very unique man, and he has needs. I hope you will believe what I'm about to tell you. Mr. March has a virus that is unnamed, I don't know how he got it but, Mr. March has to live off of blood, and to do that he has to kill, and we get to clean up the mess."

"I...I don't know what to say. I've heard of this virus before, but I thought it was cured."

"No, that is just what people want to believe. So are you ready to get started?"

"I'm ready." I think I'm ready. I have so many questions but it is probably best not to ask.

"Let's get started." Ms. Evers replied.
