I wake up, and the first thing I do is put on my uniform. I have to stay sober, I can't drink like that again, not with a job like this. I need to be working a lot harder. I do the same thing I have been doing the past two days, and go to the laundry room.

"Good morning Ms. Evers." I say.

"Good morning Ms. Moore. You look well."

"Thank you."

"Mr. March told me this morning that he wants to see you."

"Okay."

I go up to his room and knock on the door.

"Come in." Mr. March says.

I open the door, and there he stands.

"What do you need Mr. Mar-. James?"

" Come sit, tell me about yourself." I sit down in the chair next to him.

"Well, there isn't much to know, but the reason I'm in LA is to be a singer. Having a job here is a great way to make me some money."

"You're a cleaver woman Alana. Now tell me, what is it about me that makes you so nervous?"

"Well, um, I don't know, I-."

"I could make you even more nervous, I mean you seem to like it."

"James, I don't know what you mean."

"You're so confident, I love it, when I speak to most people they flinch or never look me in the eyes, but not you. I make you nervous but it's hard to tell. What is it about you?"

"I'm no one special."

"I don't want you to just be a maid, your ment for so much more."

"James, I don't know what to say, I need to be a maid until I get more money. I'm not here to screw around. I take my work seriously, and you're making that very hard for me to do."

"I'm sorry, I'll leave you alone."

"No. I don't want that."

"Oh, well then, I guess I'll have to bug you all the time." He laughed and so did I.

"I can already tell we will be great friends." James said.
"Me too."

"Maybe even more than friends."
"Farwell James."

I left the room in a rush, my heart is pounding, I can't believe he said more than friends! I can't bare it, I'm so attracted to him and it gets worse by the second.

I walk back down to the laundry room. I'm in here for hours just washing towels and linens.

"How did it go, I'm surprised to see you." Ms. Evers says walking in.

"It went well, Mr. March told me that he hopes for me and him to become friends." I replied.

"Really? I'm shocked, he doesn't have any friends."

"Well, maybe he will." Ms. Evers walked off.
