I crept into the dark room and heard a slight snore, which meant he was still in a deep sleep. I flipped the lights on and screamed like a mad woman making James jump from the sudden noise, but before he could speak I tore the blanket off of his body and jumped on the bed.
"Wakey wakey Jamesy!" I called still jumping on the bed, I felt a hand wrap around my ankle making me face planted on a bare chest. I squealed in pain and my younger brother grunted.
"Ouch! That hurt," I said sitting up and holding my nose, that was now throbbing with pain.
"You have a pointy nose! I have a huge red spot on my chest." James laughed, rubbing his chest.
"I think you broke my nose!" I cried, James and I stared at each other and both bursted out laughing. "Ok, we have to get to school in an hour so let's go," I said as soon as I finished with my laughing fit. James nodded, he got up and went out of his room down the hallway. I followed him and jumped on his back, James grabbed my legs and gave me a piggyback ride down to the living room and dropping me on the couch.
"I'll be in the bathroom dork," James said messing my hair up.
" Hurry up!" I called to him. I ran upstairs to my room and got dressed. I picked out a white tank top with a gray sweater and skinny jeans with my converse. I did my makeup like I normally do, just natural. Then I straightened my hair, I looked in the mirror my long brown hair was pin needle straight, and I looked perfect, and most of all I looked like me.
"Hey Amy, you ready?" James walked in my room. I nodded grabbing my keys and my backpack, my dad bought me a toyoda when we moved to Minnesota, I was so happy I cried because this is my first car, I always had to use my dad's car cause we never really had enough money or time to buy me a car. I headed out to the driveway and unlocked the car, James jumped in the passenger seat and I started the car and drove off.
We have been in this state for about a few weeks, so I got to see my school and we got to paint and everything, we are just now unpacking because we didn't want paint to get on everything, so we kept it in storage in California and we just got it back last night. Anyway the school was about six miles from my house so it worked out, it was a small school, one story, two if you count the basement.
"What do you think the kids here are like?" James was nervous you could tell by his tone.
" I have no idea, lets hope its like Cali." I said strongly to show I wasn't scared, I was nervous though. We have moved around a lot but within the state.
" Yeah I know right, that was the best, I miss it." James looked out the window where the trees were turning yellow, red and brown and then falling off the branches.
" Yeah I do to, but this is it." I said pulling into the parking lot . I parked in the back because it was almost vacant other than the convertible and the truck. The kids over there looked like they were going to give us a hard time. I got out and locked the car putting my keys in my backpack, I don't really carry a purse often, I don't know why I just don't.
" Those people look kinda..." James didn't finish, he was intimidated.
"Bitchy yeah I know. I'm gonna head to my locker, I'll text you, you might have to ride the bus home." I said, looking away from the strange group, but instantly looked back at them, there were four boys and two girls, the girls were draped over two of the boys. I caught one of the boy's attention, he had black hair and he was tan. I quickly looked away and looked at my brother.
"Why?" He cocked an eyebrow.
" I have to check in, remember?" He nodded and I walked off into the building, a lot of people looked at me. Great. I went to the office and it was kinda small, when I walk in on my right there's arm chairs and a small table and there is a door on my left, obviously the nurse's room and right in front of me is the desk. I walked up to the lady, she was old and had long grey hair tied in a bun.
