Chapter 6: Cars We're Kissing In

Okay this is getting old, he keeps threatening but all he's done is hit me with a car. Nathan is a sweet guy but I don't have time to deal with a mushy relationship, I just want a fling and Evan is the perfect one to do it with.

" Hey, can I talked you about something?" Evan came in handing me some water.

" Yeah what is it?" I sat criss cross.

" It's about what I do..." Evan looked down at his hands.

" What do you do?"

" You have to promise to not tell anyone ok."

" Ok, I promise... I promise on my mother's grave that I will never tell a soul about what you are telling me now." He looked at me in disbelief.

" Your mom isn't dead though." Evan pointed out, I didn't really pass that along to him did I? Jame must not have told him ethire.

" Yeah she is... I thought James told you... I thought I told you?" I said, I swear I told him.

" He never spoke about your family other than you and I don't remember when you could have told me," he said. Ugh he forgot, I know I told him. I sighed and let it go.

" Oh... Back to the subject... What is it that you wanted to tell me?"

" It was when I was 14... I got into a fight at school and I put this kid in the hospital, I was gonna get expelled... This guy came in saying he was my father and talked the principle out of expelling me. I told the guy that I would do him one favor for his actions. Little did I know, he didn't just pick me for the heck of it... He picked me because of my connections with people. I can hack into anything I want to basically... That man wanted me to work for him... He came to me and he knew my family was having a hard time paying people back. I took the job. I did missions for him... I hacked into things for him... Then I met the boys and got them into it too, and Selena was in it too... We told him we wanted out... Things were getting dangerous, people walking in with guns, and we were selling drugs, and we were getting addicted ourselves... We got out but he said we were going to have to pay, ten million dollars and as kids we didn't have that kinda money just lying around. We didn't pay him. We went to prom as a celebration for our freedom, we got an email... and it said that they had our families in custody and we had until midnight to find him or someone dies, it was 11:50 when Selena disappeared and we found her at at 12:20... She was lying on the floor her dress was torn and blood was everywhere..."

" Why are you telling me this? You already told me, but this is a different story. " I asked, I had tears in my eyes but I held them back for Evan, he was already crying.

" James told us about the fire... He just didn't tell us that there was one death... When he told me that I knew I could trust you. I didn't believe him at first and I thought just giving you a short version of the story would be ok, but it's not enough." We all made an agreement that we wouldn't tell people about how my mom really died.. The story was there was a fire and everyone was stuck in there. I being the brave one went in and rescued all of the family.

" Evan..." I whispered.

" Amy..." He whispered back. I looked at him and he was looking down at his hands. I got up and sat in front of him and put my hands in his hands.

" He is gone. He won't hurt you... I wouldn't let that happen." I said, he looked at me with tears down his face.

" It isn't me I worried about."

" The boys will be fine, as long as they have you."

" No... I'm scared he will come for you. You have gotten the messages."
