Avery locked her phone, glancing at the clock that sat on her bedside table, which read approximately 8:02 PM. Sighing, she decided to just get ready now and show up around the area early. Scoop it out, see if it's safe.

So she got ready, carefully lining her eyelids with a thin line of eyeliner that flared into a wing. Eyeshadow was just carefully and strategically placed messy smokey eye that looked... surprisingly good.

Debating what kind of "juicy shit" would be happening at said location, Avery decided on a simple look; black jeans, a white crop top, that showed off her average sized belly. She wasn't skinny, then again, she wasn't fat - just average.

She put her hair in a simple ponytail, and just slid on some black converse as well.

It was 10:56, and Avery decided to head out now, glancing at her phone one last time at the address. She nervously opened her bedroom door, glancing around the hallway before swiping upwards on her phone and turning on the flashlight as she crept through the vacant hallway. She stealthily (or, not so stealthily) walked down the stairs, eyes flickering back and forth as she unlocked the door and slid out, closing it as quietly as possible. She quickly trotted down the stairs, looking up at the streetlight lit street, and started walking off towards center street and jared street.

She kept checking her phone, looking up and walking across the street the other side any time it seemed like she had to pass someone. At one point, she heard someone walking behind her.

She whipped around, staring at the man dressed in black. He stopped, she stopped.

"What do you want?" Avery questioned, attempting to sound threatening, but all that came out was fear and anxiety hinted shakiness.

"I'm wondering where you're going." The voice responded - an oddly familiar voice, might she add.

"None of your business, who are you?"

He slid off the shades.

"None other." He muttered, swiping his hair to the side, giving Avery so much as a side glance before he awkwardly shuffled.

"Oh."

Silence.

"Why are you following me?" She asked after about 15 seconds.

"I'm gonna take a guess and assume you're walking to Jared Street?"

"How and why do you know that?"

"Doesn't matter. Go home." He said sharply, sliding his shades back on. "I'll walk you."

Avery stared at him, disbelief crossing her face. Walk home with a shady neighbor that's never eaten a cookie before today? That screams disaster.

"No." She said simply, crossing her arms and shifting her weight onto one leg. He looked bewildered for a second, then she saw his eyebrows furrow.

"Yes. Come on, let's walk you home."

"I said no!" She said louder, glaring at the boy standing about 5 feet away. He looked upset, and still surprised. He cursed under his breath, giving her a side glance as he looked back towards the way they came.

He shook his head, looking at her.

"Go gome, Avery." He spoke softly, sounding defeated. Avery blinked, and shook her head, turning around to continue walking as she shouted back - "No thanks, Calum."
