At the Last Chance Garage

The boys stared as their new friend walked casually away from the garage while Charley just smiled. Same old Stella.

"I can't believe you smooched her, bro!" Vinnie elbowed Throttle who shoved him in return.

"It wasn't a kiss! You heard her, she didn't know we spoke English and was using her communicator-thingy."

"Suuuureee... Looked like a kiss to me. Modo?"

"Oh yeah, definitely a big ol' smooch, bro."

"Hey now we have our own mechanic and scientist! Guys, this is so awesome!" Vinnie exclaimed, excited as usual.

"Don't get your hopes up V-man. Stella's a genius for sure but she is a wild card. You know what they say, genius comes hand in hand with madness." Charley said from under Throttle's bike.

"How'd you mean, Charley-ma'am?" Charley sighed and rolled out from under her current project.

"I mean that, sure she's an amazing inventor and scientist- one of the best in the last century even- but she's also got a few screws loose... If she can't think of some new project or can't figure out the answer to a formula then she becomes unpredictable. Sometimes dangerous... Last time, I saw it happen wasn't too bad, we we're still in college but it sure was whacky, she ended up buying a load of bubble machines and filled her whole house and garden with them because and I quote, 'bubbles help the thoughts pop into the mind' and then she proceeded to dance in the bubbles until they ran out or she passed out, I forget which happened first. Most commonly though, she just gets extremely drunk until a thought comes to her mind or goes thrill seeking..." The boys snorted but quickly covered their laughs with coughs.

"Sounds just the kinda woman out fearless leader needs!" Vinnie's comment resulted in chuckles from Modo and Charley but a smack upside the head from said fearless leader.

Back at Stella's House and Lab

It had been over a month since the Biker Mice and Stella had escaped those smelly Plutarkians. The guys were obviously kept busy with missions still. The usual pattern of Limburger and his goons causing problems in their obvious attempts at ripping the city apart.

She'd been trying to keep occupied with her own experiments but no new ideas had come to her.

No new formulas. No new ideas for projects. No inspiration. No nothing and it was driving her insane!!

She had started pacing so much that there was a clear path in the rug in her room. The guys and Charley had visited a few times a week and had invited her to hang with them but Stella had declined saying a new idea was bound to come soon.

But nothing had come.

She decided to resort back to her old reliable methods of getting the ideas flowing and knew just the club to go to. It might have been only 7pm but the club would be open for staff members and as co-owner, Stella was clearly qualified to enter before opening times.

The welcome she got from old colleagues was amazing and they all started drinking early to get ready for the wild night she was determined to have on the fan favourite night of the week: ROCK night!

Back with the Biker Mice and Charley.

The Boys rolled up to Stella's house, no one was there. They tried knocking at the lab, again, no one was there. They eventually ended up back at Charley's at gone 11pm after no luck in finding Stella. As Charley handed out the root beers she couldn't help wonder if her old friend might have fallen into old habits...
