I sit in a jail cell, playing with my hair. I've come to be very fond of this place, see me and the police have this on again off again thing, that has been happening since I was 13, for some reason we just can't make it a full commitment.
Sorry, let me introduce myself. My name is Easton Cena and I am 17 years old. I know what you're thinking, "What kind of name is Easton?" Well, I think it's a very unique one, people never forget me I guess, though I don't think it's just my name that makes me unforgettable.
I hear footsteps and see Detective Ryan approaching my cell and I smile. "Hello Detective." I say, "Easton, why am I not surprised to see you here." He states and I shrug with a smirk on my face. "Easton, you need to clean up your act. You can't keep going around beating people up, when they challenge you." I lean forward and look him dead in the eye.
"When someone makes shit personal, I'll do whatever I please." I lean back and wait for him to respond. "Well, now you won't. Your mother has decided to send you away, to travel with your father for 6 months." I clap sarcastically, "OMG, I CAN'T WAIT! Are you serious?" I immediately drop the fake excitement and glare at him.
"Deadly, you will be spending 6 months with your father and his girlfriend, on the road. And hopefully, that'll whip you into shape." I look at myself, "No offence, but I'm in pretty good shape." He shakes his head, "I meant attitude wise Easton." I cringe, "Oh. Well that sucks."
He shakes his head and stands up. "Your mother has already brought around your things, your father is on his way now." The buzzer for when someone enters fills the room. I peep round Detective Ryan's shoulder and see my dad and his girlfriend Nicole walking towards my cell. I stand up and grab the bag Detective Ryan is holding out to me and put it on my shoulder.
"Well, my friend this is goodbye for 6 months. Don't miss me too much." I say and salute him. "I won't miss you one bit, Easton." He replies and I put my hand over my heart. "Well that is just plain mean. Your life will be incomplete without me." I exclaim smiling, "Incomplete, but more peaceful." He remarks and I laugh, walking over to my dad.
"Well, well look who it is. Mr John Cena in the flesh and blood, it's been what 2 years since I last saw you for more then a day and now I'm living with you for 6 months. Should be a blast!" I exaggerate. "Well don't think it's going to be all rainbows and sunshine Easton." Dad says, unamused.
"Now we wouldn't want that, rainbows and sunshine's are so cliche." I remark, and laugh whilst walking out the door. "SO LONG EVERYONE!" I call back to the officers and then I am outside. In front of me is a huge tour bus and I cringe. Fantastic, I'm going to have to put up with them in a bus for god knows how many hours till we get to where ever the hell it is we're going too.
"Right to get rid of any awkwardness, Nicole this is Easton, Easton this is Nicole." I nod, "I know who she is." She smiles, "Nice to meet you Easton." I nod again, "Ditto. Listen just to warn you, I'm not a people person, so if we're going to have to sit on a bus together for hours, you're probably best to just leave me be."
"Well, the next city is only a 5 hour drive." Dad says and I spit out the drink of water I was just about to swallow. "5 HOURS!" I yell, "OH LORD MERCY HELP ME!" I continue, "Easton, try and make the most of it." Dad says, "Make the most of what, being stuck on a bus for 5 hours, not really a lot you can enjoy about that experience to make the most of."
He just shakes his head and he along with Nicole get on the bus, and me with no other choice have to follow them.
