Chapter IX

We arrived to work we immediately got right down to business. I had to talk to my boss about that trip to Missouri for a week. At first he was against it but I had to persuade him and I been doing such a good job at school that he let me take it off. I was excited I needed a break and thats exactly what I'm going to get a break from everyone except my sister and her boyfriend. I was so drained by the end of the day. I walked to the elevator and I seen Cierra sitting down on the bench by the elevator.

"You need another ride?" I politely asked

"Yes please"

"Come on"

We went to my car and I drove off towards her house.

"Are you okay?" I asked her

"Yes I'm good"

"You seem so jumpy and quiet today"

"Noo Ms.Winfrey I'm fine"

"Call me Yanna"

She smiled. Thats like the first time I seem her smile.
I pulled up to the complex and it was furniture, pillows, microwaves and everything all on the front lawn and a crazy man yelling out the window.

"Cierra you want to have niggas drop you off at home after work! You fucking bitch!"

"Oh God." I seen a tear fall out her eye. It instantly clicked this is her stuff that's on the ground and this man that's yelling out the window is yelling her name.

She jumped out the car and ran towards the door. I jumped out behind her locked my doors and ran behind her.

This situation is messed up I'm just not going to let her go through this alone. We might not be close but she does work with me and I'm not going to be that mean and just leave not after what I just witnessed.

I grabbed her arm. "Cierra what's going on?"

Tears streaming down her eyes as she trying to make words come out but nothing was coming. It was clothes all down the stairs and people started to come out their homes being nosey.

All that came out he mouth was "my baby!"

She ran up on flight of stairs went to a door and knocked on it a older lady opened the door ans Let's us in. The cutest little girl started running towards Cierra.

"Mommy daddy is bad" The little girl spoke. Cierra broke down even more.

"Cierra you cannot go back there. That man is crazy he is going to end up killing you or your daughter. You need to leave now, its not safe. I had to go hide your daughter when he came banging on my door looking for her."

"I have no where else to go! If I leave he will just find me!"

I spoke up, "you can stay with me"

They both looked at me.

"Really? Ms. Winfrey I cannot put that on you thats crazy" Cierra said

"No you go with this lady she is trying to help you! Thats your problem you don't want to be a burden to anyone but you need to think about your daughter" Cierra just nodded.

By the time we walked out her apartment her clothes is everywhere.

"Cierra grab some of your clothes on the way out" I stated. 
She picked up some of her clothes. Next thing you know the man that was yelling out the window started coming down the stairs.

Her daughter screamed, Cierra jumped and started running towards the door. I did the same if they say he is as crazy as they describe him then I don't want to meet him. We hurried to my car.

I put her daughter in the car seat I had for Shay and she through the clothes in the back seat and hopped in the front. I cut the car on he started to run after the car. I drove off.

This trip couldn't come any faster I need a break.

I drove to my apartment. We got out the car and walked to my apartment I unlocked the door.
We all sat down on the couch. I text Trey to see if he can pick Shay up and bring her to my house of course he said he was going to do it.

We sat on the couch. It was quiet until her daughter spoke.

"Mommy who is this?"

"Kai this Yanna and Yanna this is my daughter Kai"

Her daughter waved at me and I smiled and waved back.

"We are going to be staying with her for a while, she has a daughter your age"

"Yayyy I have a friend"

"Yes she is on her way here now, let me show you your room"

I had a three bedroom apartment so I had a extra room.
I showed them the room. Her daughter struggled to get in the bed because the bed was so high.

"Look Cierra you don't have to explain everything to me today just get a good night sleep"

"Thank you so much for everything. I really appreciate it I know you probably got a lot on your plate adding the two of us is more of an-"

"Stop its not a problem I'm dojgf what's right and helping you."

She nodded. I closed the door and walked out. I went in my room I took a long warm shower and waited for Trey and Shay to get here. I texted the group chat me, Niyah and Tiara had letting them know what happened. Trey called me and let me know he was outside.

"Mommy!!"

"Hey babygirl I missed you"

"I miss you too mommy"

"I have a surprise for you in the morning go to bed the sooner you fall asleep the sooner you will see your surprise" she ran to her room.

I let Trey in. I told him about the situation. He wasn't happy that I had people around her that he didn't know but at the same time he felt sorry for her.

You going to Missouri with us? He asked me

"Wait you going on the trip too? I thought it was just me Tiara and Jaren"

"Nope all of us is going me, you, Tiara, Jaren, QC, Niyah and Daniel."

"Ohh lord. I thought I was gone be able to get away from y'all"

"Nope and you already know you not getting away from me. We even gone get the same room"

"Now you talking crazy."

"Come on I can sleep on the couch I just want to be able to wake up see my daughter and have fun"

"I'll think about it. You trying to be slick when you really not" I laughed

"I'm not trying to do anything you always accusing me"

"Okay now its time for you to go"

"Alright can I get a hug before I go?"

"Your really pushing it"

He laughed. And force himself to hug me.

I laughed "okay okay let me go! Let me go! I can't breathe"

He let me go I led him to the the door and he left.

Ughhhh that man is crazy now I have to go on a trip with this man. Lord help me
