Aphrodite POV

My son was the absolute cutest thing in the world. When he went into a coma before I even got to talk to him, I was heartbroken. Hestia was the only one to talk to him so far, and all of us were secretly insanely jealous of her.

We all sat next to his bed in the hospital room and apparently the doctor's knew the cause of his injuries. We were waiting for them to come in and explain it to us. We knew he would be fine, because the fates wouldn't have worried about someone who was going to die at such a young age.

Athena spoke up. "So, what do you think about Zeus blessing him? Obviously Hecate's magic is working to guard his aura." We all turned to glare at her and she raised her hands in surrender. Suddenly, the doctor walked into the white room.

"We saw the scene which made him injured, and I don't believe it'll make you happy. I need all of you to swear on the River Styx not to get angry." We all begrudgingly agreed and the doctor thanked us. For some reason, he had a prism on his desk.

He picked it up and made a rainbow in the air. "O Iris, goddess of the rainbow, show me the scene which put Perseus Jackson into a coma."

Five minutes later...

We sat there, horrified at what we had just seen. The doctor explained it all to us, the head trauma from being thrown against the wall gave him a major concussion, which made us wonder why he didn't tell us... Or why he didn't notice. Then, the glass shard from the beer bottle gave him an infection in his arm, and when his adoptive father stabbed it into him, he hadn't pulled it out for the next 5-7 hours. Apparently his adrenaline was pumping so he couldn't feel the internal bleeding or infection but nothing could've stopped him from feeling the concussion.

But we weren't just horrified by his injuries. Why would someone bully and/or abuse such an adorable, smart and nice kid? Oh wait, that's why...

Percy POV

I woke up abruptly. I ignored the beeping sound of a heart monitor and sat up. I opened my eyes to see all six of my mother's staring at me.

The doctor standing in front of me sprinted towards me and told me to lie down. I did as he told me too.

After a few minutes, the Doctor told me that I could rest for a little bit or talk to my mothers. I decided to talk to my mothers because I wasn't tired in the slightest.

"Percy," Hera started. "I'm going to talk to you alone for a minute. Then Aphrodite and so on, okay?"

I nodded and five of my mothers left, leaving me with Hera. "So, Percy, as you know, I'm Hera, your mother." I nodded and we sat in awkward silence for a few minutes. "Do you want to play twenty questions?" She asked kindly. I shrugged and answered, "Sure, I'll go first."

"What happened when I was... made?" I said quietly. She looked at me solemnly and she looked at the painting on the wall for a minute. For some reason, I could tell that she was trying to pick her words carefully. I knew she thought that I was an incompetent child who will break everything I touch. She was thinking about my abuse and how explaining it to me will just make it worse. I already didn't like her.

"Well, the female Olympians and Hestia always have meetings by the hearth to discuss what we'd like. Better, more loyal, husbands, A friend who wasn't a part of the family et cetera, et cetera. But one night, our meeting went all night. We talked and talked about our perfect child. Even Artemis, who hates all males, wanted a child.

Anyway, when this happened, Hecate came in. She told us that she could make us the perfect child. Most of us wanted to instantly agree, but Athena asked what the catch was. Hecate told us that there were a few catches. The first was that she needed to be one of the mothers. The second was that you needed to choose a father anytime after you turned five or you would die. The third was that Zeus could never know. The fourth was that we all needed to bring a piece of our domain to her on the eve of August 18th." Hera spoke soothingly and I nodded, comprehending all the information easily.
