Hecate POV
I'm perfectly serious. They didn't react seriously in any way to the fact that Percy could be dead by the time he's seventeen. That was all I could think about when Tartarus announced Percy and whatnot. But I started to pay attention when the tablet appeared in my hands.
I chose, 'Optical Illusions', mostly because that was my area of magic. But the number of choices astounded me. There were at least three dozen choices that were placed in front of me and most of them could be used against the enemy.
I was also surprised when Percy released his aura. The gods don't have the vision, so they can't see the colors as well as I can, but it's incredibly rare for a mortal to have a visual aura and Percy's was almost like the room was flooding with water. The more power he has, the more his aura floods the room. I walked up the the glass screen and looked up and saw that his aura flooded right to the top. I had never seen that much power on an immortal in my life.
When Tartarus announced that the first category was creation, which Themis looked incredibly happy to hear.
I was a bit sad but my eyes were transfixed on Percy. He raised his hands and a building came into creation. It was beautifully made out of Tartarus Marble and it had a map of the universe on it. There were stars and planets and there was even a small arrow that said, 'This is us'. He walked into in and I realized that the picture was being displayed on all four sides. I looked over to Chaos who was smiling smugly.
"Did you show him that?" I asked Chaos. He turned to me, still smiling. "Yes, it was me. He stays at my palace whenever he has free time and I always teach him about the planets and the different civilizations. I also train him with his powers."
I smiled back at him. Somehow, my son, had befriended all the Olympians and Primordials without batting an eyelid. I honestly thought that nobody could kill him, he was invincible. He had the most amazing powers and I also believe that he's amazing in combat as well.
I watched as the imagine of the universe began to spin and go closer and closer until we were upon our planet. It zoomed in and showed all of the worlds national monuments like the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower. It was beautiful. Eventually, after a bunch of different destinations, Percy arrived at the top of his building. We didn't really see but Percy was at the top. Hestia had noticed but many others didn't, that was until he jumped.
Most of us screamed, but Chaos laughed. He went into a cannonball and suddenly a trampoline appeared underneath him. I laughed as he laughed and landed in the trampoline. The tablet appeared in our hands again and I saw the same amount of choices but not creation. I decided to choose destruction.
"The next category will be destruction, my personal favorite because my blessing gave him this power and I have spent the most time training with this one." Tartarus announced.
I watched Percy intently, it was incredibly interesting to see how truly powerful my twelve year old son is.
First, he snapped his fingers and brick wall, about ten feet tall, appeared in front of him. He held his hands about a foot apart and I watched as a glowing red and orange ball appeared in his hands and he seemed to be incredibly focused. He threw the, what looked like a fire ball, at the wall and it exploded. My eyes widened when the dust cleared to see that there was barely anything left of the brick wall. Next, he made a steel wall. He made another ball of fire but this one was fully multi colored and he threw this one at the wall and there was even more ash this time. It was amazing how whatever substance he was using could destroy something so easily.
"That first substance was fire, courtesy of Hephaestus and Hestia. The second was Olympian fire, courtesy of being blessed by all of the god's and goddess' of Olympus. Next, is Chaos fire, and he will be destroying Titanium." Tartarus announced proudly.
