Chapter 3

Hey there! :) Ready for another chapter for Remember Me!? Well I was very excited to write it. Well here is the next chapter to the story. Hope you peeps love it :D

After a good laugh with Derek's brothers, Derek asked if I would like something to drink. "Sure what are they serving." "We'll there is wine?"

"I'm sorry I don't drink that.", I said nodding my head. "Have you at least tried it?"

"No and I don't want to. I've seen what it does to people." "It does no harm it just makes a person feel alive."

"Alive?", I said puzzled. "Yeah alive. Some people act all happy and have a good time.", he said smiling. "Yeah and some people get wild and end up dead." Derek didn't say anything and he just looked at me. "But I would like water if you want." He smiled and said "Okay ill back quick." He took off in a rush going pass people. I watched as he left so far I couldn't see him. I didn't know what to do.

I looked around and I saw that Derek's brothers where talking to other people. So I was alone hear waiting for Derek.

"Hello" I turned around to see who greeted me. "Hello",I said back. A girl probably my age greeted me. She had a bun , her hair was light brown.

Her eyes were hazel. She had the sweetest soft voice. Her dress was elegant. "I'm Alice Hale." "I love that name I'm Abigail Green."

We both smiled at each other. "I've never heard of the name Abigail before. I love it." "Thanks.",I said shyly.

"So who are you here with?",she questioned.

I turned to look for Derek but I didn't see him around. "I'm here with Der-" "Derek Vaughn..."

"Ya him who are you here with?",I said trying to change the subject on Derek. "I'm with this one guy anyways, your here with Derek. I'm surprised he finally got a pretty date.", she said amazed.

"What's his name? Oh yeah I've heard that already tonight.", I said. "His name is Arnold Haley. You do know that I'm Derek's cousin right?" "Oh him.."

I remember him he had ask me out once but I sadly ignored him. I wonder how he feels now I hope he's happy. "....no I didn't know you two are cousins."

"He didn't mention it or anything?" "No he didn't. Well you know we barely meet each other yesterday." "Oh he will mention it don't worry." "Okay."

Then we didn't know what to talk about anymore. We just stared at each other listening to the background ballroom music. "So...?", I said breaking the silence between us.

"Derek considers me his favorite cousin because I'm so crazy when it comes down to gatherings." "Oh he does." I wanted Derek to come back. Does it take that long just to get a glass of water.

Have you meet Derek's brothers?",she said. "Yes they are so nice and lovely. I can't believe there related." "I know what you mean. Derek is so dark and just himself. While his brothers are kind-hearted and open to the world.", she said.

"Yeah like that." "It has been like that since they were small." "I bet it has." While Alice was talking about Derek in his childhood years, I was getting worried about Derek. I knew he left me.

I was right the whole time, he was going to leave me alone here at the ballroom. Then I started to looked around the ballroom to look for Derek. When I look by where the brothers were at I saw Derek going over there.

He pulled the brothers aside and was talking to them. I looked at there faces and they looked serious. Derek look towards me and pointed a wait finger. They left in a hurry. I wonder why has happened. Did something terrible happen, I hope not.

"....So that's why Derek was so weird then his brothers.", Alice finished her story. "Oh, did you see that?" "See what?" "Derek was talking to his brothers and they had a worry face and took off in a rush."

"Just now?" "Yeah didn't you see?" "No I didn't." A young girl with a gold Victorian dress came over to where we were.

"Alice I need to talk to you."

"What happened?" "It's family problem." "Oh but I'm talking to Derek's date." "Who cares she will end up leaving like the others, come now." I looked at her.

I'm just going to leave like the others? What is that suppose to mean? "Oh sorry Madam Victoria." , Alice said sarcastically. I guess her name was Victoria. "Who is she?" ,I whispered to Alice.

"I'm Victoria Vaughn. I'm the Vaughn only daughter. As you see we are having a family situation so Alice follow me now." "Um I guess I got to leave its an emergency. Bye see you next time or later Abigail."

"Bye." We both smiled at each other and waved goodbye. I saw Victoria and Alice leave. I guess now I'm really alone. That Victoria girl has very bad attitude. Well she is the only girl in the family.

I guess Derek isn't coming. I guess I'm going to leave. Sorry Derek.
