Chapter 4

Artemis POV

I'm sitting in the waiting room of my brothers palace slash hospital comforting my girls, it has been almost 2 years and neither Percy nor Nicole have made any progress and my girls are all thinking the worst. At first they were worried about not having a place to call home anymore but now they are completely worried about Percy and Nicole.

All of my hunter after some long reflecting feel ashamed that they treated Nicole as if her pain in losing a sister was nothing compared to there pain, actually if you really look at it Percy, Nicole and Thalia's life they are some of the most tragic among the Demi gods. The only one who on the out side seems to have a easy life is Apollo, however what others might not know is I actually pay attention to my brother and how hard his life is. Not just him either Hera, Ares, Aphrodite, Dionysus and Apollo's domains are more like burdens than anything else to the point where if you watch closely a couple of decades back they were all on the verge of fading.

I know I acted like my brother was the most annoying person on the planet and sometimes he can be but that was only because I was sick of his lecherous ways. Now truth be told I have notice that once the war with Gaia was over not once did he go to a woman's bed, and he has had no more Demi God children or godly children either, I guess this has to do with him admitting to himself that he was in love with Percy, she really has made him mature. He used to come over to the hunt to mess with and hit on my girls but now I practically have to drag him there to help me at all. I remember a few months back when he gave me a reality check for the first time.

Flashback

I was board and waiting around for my annoying brother to come by, thinking maybe I could use him as target practice with the rest of the hunt but then it dawned on me he hasn't been here in a long while. Thinking he is trying to pull something I yelled out "Apollo get over here now." and unlike normally when I call and he shows up like 20mins later he actually came right then and said "Lady Artemis how can I assist you."

I then noticed he was yet again in his 30 year old form so I said "cut the crap Apollo what are you trying to pull, I haven't seen you around my hunters in weeks and what is this you always being in your 30 year old form, also you calling me Lady Artemis in stead of your normal Arty or little sister, don't think for a second I buy this new image your trying to portray to make yourself seem more respectable I know what you really are you lecher."

I expect him to whine to laughed or say you got me, what I did not expect was the reaction he gave. Apollo took a breath and said "that's it, I am tired or your attitude. I have tried to be the fun loving brother I have tried to be the goofy brother but you never accepted me so now that I'm truly being me you want to act like I'm play a game."

he took another breath to calm down and said "for the record I'm not playing a game, my life isn't a game. I want nothing to do with the little girls in this hunt they have been hurt and are here under a miss guided leader to heal from there ordeal, don't worry I will never go near them unless absolutely necessary, as for my daughters in the hunt no need to worry you have successfully turned them against me, so I will abide by their wishes and won't be going anywhere near them ever, so don't come to me unless you have need of my services, which will work out great for you because as you say you have no want or need for a useless male and you have drilled into my head many time that this is all I am to you. You cast me aside, you wanted nothing to do with me, and all because I'm male, let's just skip over the fact that I'm your brother, your twin but that means nothing to you, so now you have finally got your wish. We are brother and sister in name only However I will give you this warning, I will no longer take kindly to disrespect from you or any of your hunters so for future reference if you need me make sure your hunters know this because if they or you so much as look at me with disrespect they shall know the full furry of the Olympian of the sun. Now I must get back to Nicole and Percy. I wish you good luck in all of your future endeavors Lady Artemis but I must be going. Oh and Before I go do you want to know why I called you little sister?" I was still stunned by the conversation but I nodded anyway and he said "Because you were never there for me, I have always been there for you but you were never there for me, you are there for your girls, father hell damn near the world but not me and trust me I have always wanted nay needed an older sister to be there for me even if it was just once however something no matter how much we need them are just not in the cards for us to have." With that my brother left.
