They boy gave me a friendly smile and I smiled back, then he sat down. Sir got everyone's attention and started talking about the project were going to start. We have to design and create a hat and pick one of the following themes: Horror, Romance, Cultures, Food or Comedy which is basically create something ridiculous.
After 10 minutes of sir explaining what we have to do he told us to get into pairs but before anyone could go anywhere this is what he said "Is it ok if you and Naomi go together? ( looking at the new boy) It makes it a lot easier also shes very high on art so I'm sure she'll be happy to help. Is that okay with you two?". I looked at the boy and we both said " sure". " great thank you" sir replied.
' Oh no I'm partners with him which I guess isn't a bad thing but I don't know what to do! ...ok calm down, take a deep breath and talk to him'
" Hey I'm Naomi" I said in a friendly tone. " Hi I'm Brandon". We looked into each others eyes again and smiled. " So I heard your from Australia?" I started " Yeah kinda, I lived in England till I was 9 then I moved with my parents and sisters there for 5 years but then we moved back home" Brandon said with his face blushing. " Awesome, I've always wanted to go to Australia, it looks super nice.." I giggled, Brandon smiled "sorry I'm not very good at talking to boys, especially cute ones" there was a pause " Sorry I didn't mean it like that, like I mean talking to people, well new people overall ugly or pretty, i t doesn't matter" I started and stuttering trying to correct my self. " Don't worry about it" Brandon laughed trying to reassure me.
" So the project, maybe we could jot down some ideas?" I said acting all professional. " Ok that sounds like a perfect idea". After some thinking and chatting we came to the conclusion to do Horror since we talked a lot about what we like and turns out we both love horror.
The lesson flew by, neither of us new where the time went. At the end of the lesson I asked Brandon what he had next. " errrr... Let me check I have * checking time table* ICT" he said. " I have that too!" I said with excitement " It may be a little confusing with which classes you have, there's bottom, middle and top. I'm in bottom and there's two sets, bottom 1 and 2 then middle 1 and 2 and so on and with art, drama and geography we mix with middle 1 and music, ICT and Citizenship we mix with middle 2. Don't worry it's a little confusing" Brandon laughed and we walked to class.
After ICT was finished Brandon came up to me and asked " Hey is it ok if I can hang out with you guys? ( Emma and me) because I don't really know anyone here plus you seem cool as well" " Oh.. Um sure! Of corse, but I have to warn you we are a little weird." I chuckled.
We arrived at our hang out. We call it 'The Tree' because there's a giant tree with wooden platforms around it. I introduced Brandon to everyone and they all seemed to get along.
Emma pulled me to one side. " So who's the new guy?"she said nudging my arm and looking at me with eyes like I liked him or something. " Oh him, oh yeah I forgot about him, his name is... Brandon I think" trying to play it of cool. " Oh come on, I saw you talking to him, you two seemed to hit it off ". " Oh shut up man he's new here I was just being friendly" I said with a joking tone.
Chapter two is done! :P I'm thinking next chapter I will do it from Brandon's perspective but I'm not sure yet. Peace✌🏼️
