So, as I promised, I dedicate this chapter to @RomanSoldier3157. Their stories are awesome! In fact, the inspiration for this story came from their Roman Atwood fanfiction - you should totally go check it out. Go give them some great support!
And now, on with the story!
****************************
The next morning we were served a feast of many things. Pancakes, maple syrup, toast, jam, honey, fresh berries, yogurt, pineapple, mango, bananas, milk, cereal, oats, smoothies - everything you could think of was laid out on that table. We all devoured it down quickly.
When we had stuffed ourselves full, Sarah wiped her hands and face with her napkin before placing it down on the table. She picked up her glass and a fork, and tapped them together. We all quickly silenced and she cleared her throat.
"I do hope you all slept well last night?" We all nodded. We had each had a king-size bed! "Well, that's brilliant. I was wondering if today you would all like to take a nice trip into the heart of the city? You know, Empire State Building; that kind of stuff."
"Oh, that would be amazing, Sarah!" Called out Brittany. We all smiled and Hillary waddled past us to get to the plates.
"Would you like to come, Hillary?" Asked Sarah. Hillary shook her head.
"I have an entire blanket to knit for my new niece!" We all laughed.****************************
"Do I look fat in this?" Asked Di, twirling round. I shook my head.
"Of course not! You look stunning!" Di beamed, and ran into her bedroom to do her makeup. She was wearing a short red dress and a black jacket, with some gold earrings and a scarf. Now, I thought. What should I wear?I grabbed a pile of Christmas jumpers and sifled through them. I finally picked one and put it on with Christmas leggings, furry grey boots, a beanie, a red and blue scarf, and put my hair into a side braid.
****************************
I ran down the stairs with Di and saw everyone waiting for us. Brittany was wearing her hair in a two braids, a grey beanie, leggings, black Christmas shirt, a grey furry coat and some black and grey Uggs. Mick was wearing a white shirt, jeans, a green jumper with reindeer on it, red braces clipped to his jeans, and black high - tops. However, Sarah stole the show. She was wearing a white blouse with a fluffy fur coat on top. She was wearing black heeled - boots and black leggings.
We all walked to the door where Hillary let us out. We thanked her and hopped in Sarah's car. And let me say - it was a very fancy car. It was a black streamline Audi, and it was very nice. We all got in and set off.
****************************
The scenery from out the Audi's tinted windows quickly changed from well-kept, typical suburban houses to classical NYC.
Skyscrapers towered above us, bright lights shone from out shop windows and everywhere you looked there was yellow taxis and flashy cars.
Mick tapped my shoulder.
"How cool is this?!" He shout-whispered. I gazed out the window, admiring the beautiful city.
"Amazing. Stunning. Just..." I looked Mick in the eye. "Wow." He beamed, and then dropped his gaze from mine. Was...was that a blush I saw? I thought to myself, before I was interrupted by Sarah. We had just pulled in front of a shop front, and she ushered for us to get out. "Are...are you just going to leave that there?" I asked, shocked that a car so expensive would be parked there. Sarah shook her head, laughing.
"Oh, of course not, dear! I hired a driver to take it back home." I nodded slowly.
"Sheesh!" I whispered to Mick. "How much money has she got?" He shook his head, puffing out air.We strided down the sidewalk and into a massive department store. Christmas decorations hung everywhere, music blasting throughout the entire building - it seemed just like a scene from a movie.
Sarah turned towards us, gesturing around the multi-storey building.
"So," she said. "Who's ready to shop?"
