Alysson's POV
Working at Starbucks wasn't a bad choice. I mean, I received a decent pay and I made good friends there.
"Al, I think you have a special someone there," Christie nodded her head towards the corner of the shop and winked at me making me roll my eyes.
I turned around to see the same guy I saw everyday at 11am. He'd always be here. Always smiling and looking at me. Whenever I used to take his order he was so polite- sometimes nervous. He wasn't one of those flirty boys that would compliment your body or try kiss up to get into your pants.
"Yeah, I know," I blushed.
"Go talk to him," She instructed but I ignored her. "Go!" She pushed me towards the guy making me stumble forwards and almost trip. She couldn't make me anymore embarrassed, could she.
He was busy on his phone so I decided to leave it. I turned around to find Christie glaring at me and shooing me towards the guy. "Hey, is it the same as yesterday?" I asked the guy, nervous.
"Like always," he smiled, he looked pretty cute.
He had brown hair with blonde highlights that was put up in a quiff. He wore a red and black flannel and black skinny jeans.
"Here you go, your coffee," I placed it on the table and joined him. My shift was over so now I had the chance to talk to him.
"Can I join you?" I asked, hoping he would say yes.
"Yeah, sure." He put his phone away and took a few sips of his coffee.
"So, your name is sweet- Allyson," He pointed at the badge on my t-shirt. His words made me blush.
"Um yeah," I smiled. "So what's your name?" I asked politely.
"Jackson, but I like Jack better," He stated, smiling.
"I'm bored and have nothing to do what about 21 questions?" I asked trying to make conversation.
He nodded. "I'll start. How old are you?" he asked.
"Nineteen. you?"
"Nineteen and gonna turn 20 next week," He smiled proudly making me smile.
"Okay my turn, whats your type of music?" I asked.
"I like Linkin park and I don't know really, I listen to a mix of genres. What about you?" he asked, curious to know my answer.
"I listen to rock. Like, Green Day and Blink-182." I smiled at the thought of my lovely music.
Before he could ask another question, his phone rang.
"Yeah. Okay babe," He said into the phone. Babe? "Yeah, I'm coming. Okay, see you in five," With that, he ended the call.
"Sorry I gotta go. I guess we'll continue this tomorrow?" He got up from his seat and gave me a wave- which I returned.
I wasn't quite sure whether I wanted this to continue tomorrow. It would just break me more. I frowned and grabbed my bag and walked home.
"How did it go?" Christie asked smiling like an idiot.
"He's already got someone," I simply stated and put up a fake smile to show that I was fine. But I wasn't- I actually thought, for a second, that we could get somewhere.
"Oh, well, I'm sure there's someone better than him," she smiled back. Christie was the best thing that's happen to me since Australia. She was always there to support me, make me happy and simply hang out.
