Chapter 10

Allyson's POV

He kissed me.

Why'd he kiss me?

I tried to shake away the questions that popped up endlessly in my mind grabbed his hot chocolate. I walked pass the counter and walked up to the table where the three boys were sat.

"Here," I placed the cup of hot cocoa on the table. He placed the money on the table which I picked up and walked away. But before I could walk anymore than two steps, I was pulled back by a firm grip on my arm. I spun around to see Luke looking up to me with hopeful eyes.

"Care to join us?" He asked, grinning. Should I? I mean, yes, my shift was over but did I really want to sit down with three boys I barely knew. But, I had no other option since Christie was with Calum and I didn't want to be third-wheeling.

"Sure, I'll be right back," I smiled before walking to the staff room.

I immediately took off my apron and my pin badge which left me wearing my Rolling Stones top with black shorts and my lace-up block heel boots. I slipped on my beanie so that I looked a little presentable but to be honest, I didn't really care how I looked.

As I walked out of the staff room, all heads snapped looked my way. I could feel the heat rise up to my cheeks. I could see Luke's jaw drop to the ground while the other boy - I didn't know his name yet-

I ignored everyone's reaction and made my way to sit on the empty seat on the table beside Luke. "Damn," Luke mumbled to himself. I could feel my stomach do all sorts of crazy flips.
"I heard that," I whispered in Luke's ear making him tense up.

I pulled away from his ear and looked in front of me to see the two boys grinning and smirking.

Wait. Did I just flirt with a guy a absolutely hate?

What. Even. Ew.

"So, how's life being in 5SOS right now?" I asked, attempting to start some sort of conversation.

"Um, great. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Michael. But call me Mikey," he smiled which I returned. From the corner of my eye I could see Luke's stare burning through my skin.

After the few seconds of awkward silence, I found us all tapping away on our phones. I felt a slight nudge from my left side. I looked to the side to see Luke gesturing towards his phone. He had a note opened up which he'd typed up some words. It read:

Add me.

Followed by his phone number. I took out my phone and typed in his number and added him to my contacts.

A coupled of seconds later my phone made a sound indicating that I'd received a message. I opened it up to see it was from Luke.

From: Luke

Meet me outside in five minutes :)

I felt my stomach do its famous back flips once again and I looked up to see Luke grinning like an idiot. Why should I meet that idiot outside?

Luke had already left the cafe and it had been five minutes already. "I think I'm gonna go now, it's getting late," I stood up from my seat and grabbed my bag. "Could you lock up for me, Chris?"

"Yeah, sure," she smirked.

"Okay, I'll see you later then." I hugged Mikey and Calum before making my way out.

"USE PROTECTION!" Chris yelled as I left. I could feel the heat rise up my cheeks.

As I began walking out to look for Luke, the cold air hit my skin like daggers making goose bumps appear on my arms. I hugged my body to conceal my body heat and walked faster.
