Ivory's POV

I walked the few miles away to where Clause lived, I still couldn't believe I ahd agreed to this. I raised my hand, and even jumped when the door opened before my hand made a sound.

'Hi," I said, blushing. What was going on? He smirked at me, and tilted his head to the side, motioning me inside, he shut the door after me. I walked into the living room of his house, sitting down on the couch, and looking around at all of the family pictures hung up on the walls. He cleared his throat a few times, and I looked up at him.

"I have the stuff up in my room, I'll go grab it and be right back down." he called from the stairs. I stood up, and followed behind him. His room was the second one on the right, and it was suprizingly clean, for what I was expecting. There was a bed against the opposite wall, farthest from me, and a desk to my left. The shades were pulled closed so his room was pretty dark, and there was a rug over the hard wood flooring. I watched him go into his room, grab a few things off of his desk, and a piece of Big Red gum, and then spin around, with a box in his arms, and slam into me, sending me sprawling, nearly into the other room. The box had scattered to the floor, and Clause was on his belly on the ground next to me. He pushed himself up, and looked at me, offering a hand to help me up.

"Are you okay?" I took his hand, and was suprised when a quick shock of butterflies weaved their way through my stomach.

"Yeah," I rubbed the back of my head. He bent over, after pulling me up, and picked up the box, and then turned around, looking at me, his eyes lingered a few seconds too long. I shifted, uncomfortable in his gaze, and followed him back into the living room. I helped him grab the things out of the box, and set them on the floor, then sat back up and watched Clause.

He had that Justin-Bieber-y swish to his hair, that was a brown that in some light looked blondeish, and in other it looked black. He was athleticly built, from all the sports he was in, and tall. His eyes, they changed colors. Sometimes they were grey, other times blue, or maybe even a little green. They were captivating, and it doesn't help that his long lashes surrounding them only drew them even more attention.

I looked at the ground after he had gotten the rest of the things we needed for the car.

"Ivory, can you plug the glue gun in over there?" I picked up the gun, and did as I was told. I then sat with my feet tucked under my knees, and continued to watch Clause work on the project. I was suprised once again at how easily he was putting the car together, at least the body of it. He looked up at me, blushed, looked back down, and handed me the going to be gears. I toold the straight edge to the rubber car wheels after carefully measuring, and then having Clause check my measurments again, I started. The straightedge moved through the rubber easily. I was starting to get th hang out of it, and looked up to see Clause watching me too. The knife slipped a little in my hand, and then foun its way into my palm, leaving an arch of blood from the base of my middle finger to the middle of my palm. I gasped, and Clause helped me up, grabbing my elbow he brough me to the first floor bathrom.

"Put your hand under the water for now." I did as I was told, the cold water numbed away some of the pain, and Clause grabbed out some gauze, and tape. He gripped my hand, and pressed the gauze firmly down, and wrapped the tape around.

"does that feel better?" I swallowed. He glanced at my lips, and he leaned towards me.

'Yeah," I leaned back, stumbling over the toilet, and landing in the bathtub. Clause quickly made his way over to my, and was careful to help me up again, leading me to the living room. I sat back don on the couch, "I'm sorry," I said.

'What? Why are you sorry? You didn't do that on purpose.." he said, sitting on the floor infront of me. I laid down, and he watched me. I then crawled down off the couch and sat next to him. He left his head fall back on the seat of the couch, and he threw his arm out behnd me. I inched a tiny bit closer to him, and rested my head on his soulder, letting my straight, dark hair fall over his shoulder. his arm draped more carefully around my shoulder, and he leaned in toward me. I took a quick breath, his breath smelt like his gum.
