Ivory's POV
I yanked the bobby pins out of my hair. That was it, was it all on me? I mean, I bet it was. I mean, I wasn't above average looking.. And guys didn't like girls who were smart, not smart, nerdy. That and I bet it's how awkward I am. I sighed and threw my self onto my bed, my hair tangling around my head. I took out my earrings, and readjusted the band on my sweatpants. I closed my eyes.
This boy had me lost like no other.
I couldn't believe it. Sure, I didn't have very much practice I suppose with guys, but I knew enough. There was just something about him though. He threw me off like no other. How? Wasn't I a clever girl?
Not around him.
Clause's POV
I parked my car in it's place on the driveway. I took out the keys, and folded my hands over the wheel, resting my head on the wheel. I was lost. I couldn't believe I said that, I mean, how lame? My phone buzzed from the cupholder. I snatched it, unrealizingly hoping forn a text from Ivory. My hopes fell, but my horomones raced as I took in the name from the screen. Ebony. Her image flashed into my mind. She was skinny, in a good way, filled out in the right palces. Her eyes had an exotic tilt, and her skin was a deep mahogany. Her eyes matched her name, ebony. Dark, entrancing. I snapped back to reality, opening the text. 'hey im headin 2 a prty l8r 2nite u in?' I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed again. Why not?
I had totally forgotten about Ivory, but she didn't like this stuff, what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
I texted that I was coming quickly, and recieved the details, and a smiley face in return. I went inside, and changed into something more appropriate, and then got back into my car, and went to the party. A familiar bass line charged from the house, and got a few nods in my direction. I passed through the doorway into the packed house. I watched girls bodies roll against each others, and sometimes a lucky guy's. I grabbed a drink, and downed it quickly. Looking from the one I came here for. She grabbed my wrist, and led me to a couch, that was already taken by another couple. She sighed, and took both of my hands, wrapping her small hands around my large ones, and then resting them on our knees.
"Clause, I need to know what's up between you and Ivory. She seemed a little mad when I was talking to you that other time.." Her eyes locked on the ground. Her brow furrowing. I scratched my head, and blew out through my nose hard.
"Ebony, I didn't come here to talk about this. It's not the place." I tried to keep any anger out of my voice, but failed. Her eyes snapped attentivily up to mine.
"Oh," Soemthing flickered in her eyes, and then she was on my lap, her lips pressed hastily to mine. It took me a second but I reacted.
This was my element.
Ivory's POV
I sat up from my bed, after a short nap. I walked down the stairs to the computer, openning Facebook. I clicked through the status, catching air of a party tonight. I automatically knew where Clause would be. Of course, but I was done with him wasn't I? I huffed again. I shut out of the web page, and went into the kitchen. I got myself a glass of milk, and then made my way to the tv, popping in Finding Nemo, it was now my night. Good bye to Clause, for now.
