I locked the door and followed Tara into the living room. I lived in a 3 bedroom apartment that my parents left for me. My parents were paranoid of an early death and made a will when I was 15 and my sister was 18. We got the apartment, but Sarah couldn't bare to live here anymore, so she left Maine, to live in Florida, leaving me by myself since I was
21.

"Here." Tara said passing me the plastic bag. I opened it and it showed 2 boxes. A pink and blue box and a purple box. Both had Pregnancy Test written across it.

"I'm not pregnant, I told you, I would know if I was."

"That isn't entirely true. Most people can be months pregnant and won't even know until their feet start swelling and they start showing. Just go take the test and if you aren't, then you arent, and if you are, then you are."

Even though I knew I wasnt, my heart raced and I felt my face heat up with nervousness. I went to the bathroom and took out the purple
box. Opening it I took out the 2 sticks and the cup while I sat on the toilet and I filled the cup. When I finished I closed the cup , flushed, and washed my hands.

I opened the other box and took out the other 2 test. After dipping all 4 test into the cup, I grabbed them and made my way to the living room and handed them to Tara.

"Did they show the sign yet?"

"No, I just finished. I don't want to see them first though, you look and then you tell me."

She nodded. I stood there shifting from foot to foot. And what felt about 10 years later, Tara stood up holding all 4.

"Well? What do they say?"

She smiled at me and flashed them to me even though I couldn't see the mark.

"You're pregnant."
