Zions pov.

I sped walked towards the exit. After Lyla ran out and her friend was to stuck to move I went after her myself. Opening the door I saw her pull off.

"Shit."

I ran to my car not bothered about the rain, started the engine and sped off to catch up with her. I chased her past the mall and past 2 exits on the highway.

Where is she going?

I honked my horn multiple times and tried to catch her attention, her car was speeding fast and she needed to slow down because the rain had started to pour down harder than before. I looked into the opposite lane, there were no cars coming down so I drove right by her car. She didn't even notice me. I waved my hand by my window to catch her attention. I thought her head was going to turn my direction but instead she jerked and one of her hands left the wheel to her stomach. Her face twisted in pain and not to long after he same thing happened.

But both her hands left the wheel and she screamed. I slammed the breaks.

No. No. Press the breaks Lyla.

Her car swerved off of the road and kept doing straight in between two trees. The third tree hit the left side of her car making it lose balance and end up vertically. The car skidded on its side before it hit a tree putting the car back on its wheels and stop.

"LYLA!"

I was out my car and by hers in a second. I looked through the broken window and saw her with blood rushing out her head and her mouth. I pulled my phone out and called 911.

"I need an ambulance at the Maine State Highway in between exit 61 and 62....yes its a car crash..No I'm not hurt. Yes I know her! LISTEN HURRY UP SHE'S PREGNANT AND SHE'S HURT...OKAY...JUST HURRY PLEASE!"

My fist balled up. I wasn't suppose to move her. I looked at her I never felt so useless in my life. There she was with her life and the babies on the line, and I couldn't do anything. I grabbed her hand that hung out the window.

"Lyla, don't die."

Her fingers twitched and she whispered low but through the rain I still heard.

"Tyler."
