“Kamryn, sweetie? Are you awake?” Kamryn heard the familiar voice of her mother.

She tried to sit up, but the pounding in her head made her immediately lay back down. Her eyes strained to look around the room she was in. Bright white walls, and the beeping of machines next to her were in the surrounding area. Kamryn’s mother sat on the edge of the bed she was in.

“Wha…where am I?” She asked confused.

“Oh honey, you don’t remember?” Kamryn’s  eyes adjusted better, and she looked at my mom. Her eyes were rimmed red, clearly she had been crying.

“I, I just remember being in a house, and then the power went out. I blacked out, and I…nothing.” She looked up her mom, hoping for an answer.

She looked at Kamryn, tears threating to fall once more. She began with the one thing Kamryn hoped it wouldn’t be. “Daniel.”

Memories flooded her head, causing her to become dizzy once more.

Daniel and Kamryn dated for a few months, things seemed to be fine until Daniel began to abuse her, bad. Kamryn would come home with bruises lining her arms from where Daniel forcefully held her. Scars lined her back and legs, a burn mark on the back of her neck reminded her of when things became really out of hand, the first time she had tried to leave Daniel.

“Bloody hell Kamryn! You are staying with me, and I don’t give a flying fuck what you say!” Kamryn remembered Daniel screaming at her.

“And just to make sure you don’t ever forget that…” He grabbed a lighter and buried it deep into the skin of Kamryn’s neck.

The thought of those memories sent a shiver down her spine. What had happened this time? Why couldn’t Kamryn remember?

“Mom, what happened?” She asked wanting to know what had landed her in the hospital with a massive headache.

“Oh, honey. You broke up with Daniel, but he wouldn’t have it. I was gone, and didn’t think he would try anything so drastic. He came to the house and took you. You must have been asleep, or maybe he knocked you out. That would explain the bump on your head.” She instinctively reached up and touched the rather large bump on her head, she winced in pain.

“Don’t touch.” Her mother grabbed her hand, giving it a squeeze.

After her mom explained the whole story, Kamryn was in tears, sobbing quietly.

Daniel had kidnapped her, trying to make sure she wouldn’t ever leave him. She somehow managed to escape, but still only remembers the dark room she was stuck in and blacking out.

“Honey, we’re moving. You, Charlie and I.” I’ve already found a flat in London. We’re moving tomorrow.” Her mother said, after Kamryn has stopped crying.

“What? How? What?” Kamryn asked, once again trying to sit up, this time she took on the pain.

“I’m not risking anything darling.” Her mother squeezed Kamryns hand once more.

“Yeah, alright. I guess.” Kamryn couldn’t quite grasp the fact she had to drop everything and leave, but she was willing to do it. Anything to get away from Daniel.

*A week later*

Kamryn was happy to be settled in London with her mom and younger brother Charlie. She was due to begin school once more today.

She wore a pair of black skinny jeans and an oversized cardigan. She paired the outfit with a pair of red converse and walked out the door.

The crisp London air hit her face; she shivered, clutching her sides. Luckily her school wasn’t too far away.

She walked into the big building. Kids walked around her, without missing a beat. She made her way to the office and was greeted by the secretary.

“Name sweetie?” She asked.

“Kamryn Harthmen.” She replied, smiling small.

“Ahh yes, welcome. Louis Tomlinson is going to show you around.” She pointed to a boy sitting on one of the sofas in the office.

He stood up and smiled. His brown hair framed his face and his blue eyes had a sparkle to them. He was wearing a blue and white striped shirt and white skinny jeans. ‘Sailor’ Kamyrn thought to herself laughing.

Kamryn grabbed her schedule before turning to the boy.

“Hello, Louis Tomlinson, nice to meet you.” Kamryn smiled sweetly at him.

“Same to you. So what’s your first class?” He asked, extending his hand.

She handed him her schedule and he smiled.

“Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of each other. We have every class together except Math.” Louis handed Kamryn her schedule back.

“Where to captain?” She laughed.

“To English!” Louis laughed, pointing down the hall.

It was less crowded now that the first bell had rung.

“How nice of you to join us Mister Tomlinson.” A females voice said from the front of the class.

“Sorry Mrs. Pepall, I am showing a new student around.” He said confidently to her.

“Alright, well sit down. Nice to meet you dear, what’s your name?” She focused her attention on Kamryn now.

“Uh. Kamryn Harthmen.” She said quietly, a blush crept up into her face as the whole class stared at her.

“Alright, well go ahead and sit by Louis for now.” Kamryn followed the teachers gaze to the empty seat by Louis who had a big grin on his face.

I took my seat next to him placing my backpack on the table.

“I think this is gonna be a great year.” Louis turned to Kamryn smiling.

“Yeah, I bet.” She smiled back, genuinely happy to be away from her past.

A/N: I feel like this is just the beginning! I'll make a part two later :D I hope you like it XX
