“Hey Kayla! Nice shirt. Not!” Kayla heard Harry call from down the hall, followed by a bunch of snickers from his friends.
“Fuck off!” She yelled to him before she continued walking.
She sat down in her usual seat in her English class, looking out the window, desperately wanting to be out of school. It was only the first period of the day and her bully, Harry Styles was already on her nerves.
It didn’t get any better. Throughout the day, Harry kept pestering her, cracking jokes and giving Kayla a hard time whenever her could.
Although Harry was always so rude to her, she still couldn’t help but smile when seeing him in the halls. She really did like him, but he could never know that.
“Kayla, Kayla! Kayyylaaaa!” She heard Harry’s raspy voice yelling her name from across the courtyard.
She ignored him, going back to the book she was reading.
“Hey, Kayla, wanna hang out tonight?” Harry chuckled quietly.
Kayla looked up for a second, only to look back down, ignoring Harry.
“Kayla, hello? God, why must you always be such a bit—“ Kayla’s hand made contact with Harry’s face before he could get the last word out.
“Don’t you ever call me that.” She said, before gathering her items and stalking off.
She felt a strong hand grab her arm and spin her around. Harry’s face was red and his mouth was pressed into a hard line.
“Meet me here after school. I swear to god, if you don’t…” He trailed off looking away from Kayla.
“Whatever.” Kayla said before walking off.
When the final bell rang she contemplated actually staying after school to meet Harry or not. What did he want with her anyways? She thought of the possibilities. ‘What if he wants to hit me since I slapped him?’ Kayla thought to herself chewing on her bottom lip.
She walked over to the courtyard; luckily there were only a few people left, so the embarrassment wouldn’t be so high if she was to get in a fight with the boy.
“You actually came?” Harry’s eyes met Kayla’s when he saw her.
“Yeah, now what do you want?” Kayla looked around, trying not to act scared.
“Well, I—I just.” Harry ran a hand through his hair.
“Just spit it out!” Kayla yelled at him.
Harry stepped closer closing the distance and Kayla tensed up, shutting her eyes waiting for the pain to hit.
But it didn’t. Instead Harry leaned down and kissed Kayla, softly on the lips.
She opened her eyes to meet Harry’s green ones. “What…?” Was all Kayla could manage to get out.
“Come over to my house?” Harry asked, smiling slightly.
Kayla nodded, smiling back. “Will there be more of that?” She laughed.
“Only if you want it.” Harry replied with a smirk.
When they got to his house Harry sat down on the couch, opening his arms so Kayla could sit with him.
“So what was that about?” Kayla asked.
“What?” Harry asked.
Kayla kissed Harry once more. “Ring any bells?” She laughed.
“You sure do ring my bell.” Harry smiled.
“Why are you always so mean to me then?” Kayla asked confused.
“Haven’t you learned? If a boy is mean to you, he likes you.” Harry grinned.
“In like elementary school.” Kayla hit Harrys shoulder lightly.
Harry rolled his eyes and leaned forward kissing Kayla again.
The kiss turned more intense when Harry pushed Kayla down and hovered over her, his large frame covered most of her tiny one.
“I like you. A lot.” Kayla finally said.
“I like you too. More.” Harry laughed, kissing Kayla’s forehead.
