Mia and Patrick walked into the bar they frequented at. Even though Mia was tired and had work tomorrow she allowed herself to be persuaded to come to the bar with Patrick, she needed to relax a little anyway, a quiet drink would do.
"Come on then, Moo, drink time, what will it be? Rum and coke?" Patrick said with a laugh, knowing Mia well enough to know she hated rum. Well, not just rum, she wasn't a very big drinker, she'd much rather keep her wits about her.
"Oh yeah, rum and coke for me, hold the rum though." She said, laughing back.
"You got it, baby cakes." He said, leaving her at a table to head of to the bar.
While she waited for him to come back she looked around at the bar, she liked this place because it was classy, but it also had a little hint of spice, she liked to think of herself like that, she was a classy sort of girl, but she could get wild sometimes. If only she was wild enough to entice Christopher to like her she would be happy, but for some reason he was blind when it came to her, she thought, sadly.
A few minutes later Patrick returned with the drinks, he put them down on the small table and them sat himself down across from Mia. He stared at his best friend, he was feeling a little guilty taking her out tonight when he could see she looked tired, but he really wanted her to smile, she was so amazing, she deserved to always be happy, he thought.
"So, Moo, tonight is all about you, and making sure we turn that love sick frown into a careless smile, look around, see any guys that could take you know who off your mind?." Patrick said, with a little laugh, he knew his best friend wasn't the type to indulge in meaningless sex, she'd only had sex twice in her life and they were with people she'd had long relationships with.
"I'm not really looking, Peebs." She replied, smiling slightly.
"Well, you should start, find a hunky peice of man to fill your nights with pleasure." He said, laughing.
"Ugh, fine." She said, with a laugh and started to scan the bar, quickly deciding that no one here could come close to 'filling her nights with pleasure'
"No one?" Patrick said, one perfectly trimmed eyebrow raised, a smile gracing his face, one that she knew meant he wasn't going to push anymore, they'd been here before, he'd tried to set her up before, but she was adement that she wasn't the type to have casual sex.
"No one." Mia said with a small look of sadness on her face.
"Babycakes, I know we're here for you, but I've just clocked this really hot guy over by the bar and I think he's staring my way, do you mind? I'll only be gone for one dance." Patrick said with a pleading look.
"Of course I don't mind! Go for it!." She replied, laughing.
"Ooh, you know I'll love you for this forever, Moo." He said, rushing out his seat to get to the bar, leaving her on her own.
Mia sat for a few moments, looking around the bar, but nobody caught her attention, the only guy she could think about was her boss, and how much she just knew he was the only guy for her.
Before she knew it her drink was empty, and she decided to head to the bar to get a new one, who knew, maybe Patrick would come and talk to her, although looking at the dance floor, where he was deep into a dance with the guy from the bar, she seriously doubted it.
"At least one of us is happy." She muttered to herself, laughing a litlle. She watched Patrick for a little while longer, he was dancing quite close to the guy he was with, she wondered if she would be going back without Patrick tonight, although she hoped not, they both had work tomorow and if Patrick was getting drunk and then staying out then she wouldn't know whether he would wake up for work or not, normally when he got drunk he'd stay in bed until noon, he didn't normally get drunk on a week day though.
She got up from her seat and picked up her empty glass, she was about half way to the bar, still looking at where Patrick was dancing, and deep in thought about her wonder boss when suddenly she felt a wetness on the front of her dress, she looked up in shock to see a guy with the mirror image of what she imagined must be on her face right now.
