She played nervously with her hands; it was in plain sight that she was uncomfortable but only Harry who watched her very closely noticed.

She gave him a small smile which he returned.

There was something about her he thought that made her different, even more different than he was himself.

She sighed her shoulders sinking down as if going into great thought. She nervously bit the inside of her lip.

Fred noticed this at least and gave her a side glance and gently grabbed her hand underneath the table and gave it a friendly squeeze.

She looked up and smiled at him wanting so badly to lean on him.

She’d hug him later she thought.

“So Demetria what’s your favorite class?”

“Oh uh…”

“Defense against the Dark Art” answered Fred.

“I wasn’t asking you.”

“No he’s right” she murmured.

“Oh does he know everything about you?”

“No I mean his favorite class is Transfiguration, Fred’s great at it his wand is a great help to that though, he helped me with last years exams for it.”

“I helped her with history of magic” Cedric said boasting.

“He what” Fred said throwing her a glare.

“I was in the library you know studying for my exams and he came up and offered to help.”

“More like courting you if you ask me.”

“She didn’t ask you” Cedric yelled.

“Stop, can’t you see she’s uncomfortable sitting in between you when you’re yelling at her.”

“What do you know” Cedric asked?

“Hey leave my little… I mean my friend alone” she stuttered.

“Do you think I’m little” Harry asked an unmistakably tone of sadness in his voice.

“No Harry not at all” she said her eyes looking directly into his.

“I would say he is small Demetria” said the voice of her dad who Demetria knew was standing behind her.

We all turned and looked up at him he wasn’t staring at Demetria but at Harry.

Harry was slowly sinking into his seat.
