*13 years earlier*

They glanced up at each other every now and then through-out potions class neither of them not needing to pay attention. His black eyes seemed unable to concentrate on anything else but her green eyes. She pushed back a bit of her long dark red hair, catching his eye as she did. She gave a sigh and a small nod allowing him to know she would indeed talk to him after class. He took this as a relief compared to the weeks of being shut out. The boy who was more adult now than child like the others was sitting next to her was watching her moves carefully, his hazel eyes glaring up at the boy through round glasses. The hazel eyed young adult grabbed hand full of his black hair and simply squeezed it then returned to looking at the red-headed girl.

“Class is dismissed” said the sheepish fat wizard in the front.

The girl got up and whispered in the hazel eyed boy’s ear when he shook his head unarguably she simply kissed him making him full-heartedly trust her.

She stopped outside the dungeons door looking down at her feet and nervously rubbing her stomach.

“Lily” the boy with the black eyes said apprehensively.

“Sev I…” she said trailing off at the end not sure what to say.

“What’s wrong Lily, you kiss me and … never mind that and then you go around strutting with Potter what’s wrong with you.”

“I need someone who will take care of me Severus” she said angrily.

“And you think I won’t Lily” he said hurt and grabbing a hold of her left arm.

“No not with you running around with your death eaters” Lily said pulling her arm away.

Severus ran a large hand through his thin greasy black hair.

“Is there any other reason Lily” Severus asked.

She burst into tears at the question covering her face and falling into Severus’s arms.

“Sev we made a horrible mistake well I did.”

“What is it Lily” he said touching her chin.

“When we …” she stopped.

“Yes, I know what you mean what is it about that?”

“I never thought it’d happen I mean it was my first time and I … was so stupid” she said crying harder.

“Lily?”

“Sev, I’m pregnant” she cried loudly.

“You’re pregnant?”

“Yes, you fool” she said hitting him.

“Are you sure?”

“Of course I’m sure you blithering idiot” Lily said glaring at him.

“How do you know?”

“I went to the doctor over the Christmas Holiday’s because I felt strange and he told me.”

Severus paced back and forth and said “so where do we go from here?”

“I think I’ve decided to put it up for adoption.”

“It?”

“What would you like me to call it” she yelled at him?

“Maybe the baby would be nice.”

“Like you bloody care you probably want it to be non existent.”

“No if I weren’t so poor I’d ask you to let me keep the kid.”

“Oh sure Sev you’d freak in a week.”

She strode off then out of sight leaving him there in her dust.
