The slight morning sun was contained by my curtains. I glanced at my clock and realized I woke up before the alarm. I stare at the ceiling again, and let a small smile escape my lips. It's the first day of classes and although I'm glad to be back in my element again, I wasn't sure if this good mood will last for very long.

Beep!Beep!Beep!Beep!

I listened to the monotonous beeping of the alarm. I usually count up to 30 beeps just for the heck of it.

Before I was able to silence the alarm, my door burst open and in came James. I screamed. "What are you doing in my room?" He pointed to the alarm. "Stop it. That's the most annoying alarm I've heard ever. The whole floor can probably hear it! Why is it- it's just 7:00?! Classes start at 8:30!" My good impression of him vanished. Seems like I'm not the only one who had short patience in the morning.

"It isn't even that loud." I said, pressing the button. The room was filled with silence. James let out a sigh of relief and plopped down on my bed, letting his feet dangle off. I grabbed my blanket and covered myself.

"What the heck are you doing?! Go back to your room and sleep since you're so insistent about it!" He laughed. Seemed like he was back to his normal self.

"Let me rest here a bit. It took me energy to walk from my room to yours." I groaned.

"Well I was about to turn off my alarm anyway. You also used up your energy to scream at me in the morning, so really whose fault was it?" He grabbed the pillow that was near him and hugged it. Ugh, now that's gonna smell like guy.  I stood up, stretched, and grabbed the glass of water next to the alarm.

"Yeah yeah. It's my fault princess." I almost choked on the water. "Princess? God that's even worse than boss. Just call me Chloe, it's that simple."

"What if I don't want tooooo?" He said. I looked down at my glass, and looked back at him. He was clearly very relaxed. Totally unaware of the tragedy about to befall upon him. I spilled the rest of the water on his face.

"AAAH! What was that for?!" He scrambled out of my bed and wiped his face. I laughed while clutching my stomach. "Oh my god," I wiped my tears. "That was hilarious." I straightened myself up. "That's what happens if you don't want to call me just Chloe. No nicknames, got it?" He nodded in defeat.

"Well, I'm definitely awake now. Maybe I needed that." He said to himself. He finally went outside my room and headed to the kitchen. "Do you have coffee?" I placed my glass at the sink and  grabbed some eggs and vegetables from the refrigerator.

"Nope, I hate coffee." He groaned, and went back to his room. Finally some silence. I heat up the pan and think about my predicament now. How do I make him my boyfriend? Wait- what if he's already taken? No, can't be, he asked if I was taken so I assume...? Damn it, there's so many loopholes. I don't even know where to start.

At least he wasn't that bad. He was cute, I guess, and had a nice laugh. But he's the type to play with people's feelings. I have to play harder than him somehow- nearly impossible because I never had someone fall in love with me. Shit, this is probably going to be harder than I thought.

I hum as I quickly grabbed the first shirt in the pile and some pants. I didn't really care much for clothes. I hastily dressed because the omelette might get cold. I went out my room and at the same time, James went out of the shower. His hair was dripping wet and he was-

"Oh my eyes!" I quickly covered them and headed to the kitchen.

"I could say the same thing. What are you wearing?!" He said in reply. I looked down on my clothes. A puke-green shirt with Merry Chrysler written on it, and denim pants. I admit, not my finest outfit but I prioritize food over clothes. I scarfed down the omelette which was now just the perfect temperature.
