Betrayal

Alright, there has been some breaking news. Breaking news that true fans will know of by now. But someone MUST expose this news for what it really is: confirmation of what I have been saying all along.

What would you say if I told you that J.K.Rowling was setting her pen on paper once more to write Harry Potter 8? Well, some undoubtedly would be thrilled. A new book? In the beloved universe? What could possibly be wrong with that? But the wisest among us would be set on edge. I recall the time that I loved Harry Potter more than any other fan out there - and I recall myself thinking that if ever J.K.Rowling had the shamelessness to write a sequel...I would forever be at least a little estranged from the whole fandom.

Why? Because it's a f**king betrayal! The saga was over, the story finished. The villain was dead, and since any stories set in that universe (taking place in the past or present) all related to Voldemort and his brand of evil, his death signified the end of Harry Potter. This isn't Star Wars where there will ALWAYS be a Dark Side to the Force, and therefore endless opportunities for sequels (the source material is a series of graphic novels, after all).

Ever since my turn from Harry Potter, I still maintained a tiny, tiny, smidgeon of respect for the damn thing, because frankly I had expected this to happen a lot sooner. But apparently I was wrong. Apparently the time is now. J.K.Rowling has finally run out of money and is now writing a cheap, cheap story to make her her pension. Did I mention that the book will be in two parts? Part 1 and Part 2? So that the book can be made into two films? And make more and more and more...money?

People of Earth, I implore you. Do not listen to the BS she will throw at you: 'I've always been planning this story', 'I think it was time for the readers to see it'. It's not true! Even if you're a Harry Potter fan and you disagree with everything said in previous chapters - see the sense in my words here. Don't buy the books. Don't give her the money she wants. I know it'll be hard to stay away from something so beloved to you - but you know in your hearts that Harry Potter was over. The story had ended. There is nothing left there but a woman who has next to no writing skill and a mad desire for fame and money feeding off her fans like a bloody old vampire. Find the strength within you to at least preserve the integrity of the finished saga.

Don't do it. See the light. Please. My heart was already broken by Harry Potter. If you will not see the light of my other theories - at least save yourself from this. The inevitable destruction of Harry Potter.
