Dear Diary,
My new family was still sleeping when I woke up. I found them by the train tracks behind the corner store. I went to school as usual but my teacher wouldn't wake up after lunch time. After school, I went to the candy shop in town but the doors and windows were covered in a red liquid, so I didn't go inside. Instead, I went home to find my dog hanging from the window sill by his neck. He was dripping red liquid. When I went inside, the mirrors all said "Help me" or "I'm back." Earlier this night, I heard whispers in the walls and screams from the basement. Tomorrow might be better.
Love,
Lucy Belle
