Wednesday 21st October

Part One

​A few hours had passed since Sarah Platt's night of fuelled madness. She woke up looking as if she is on a comedown, which is a lot worse than a hangover. As she rubbed her hands through her face trying to wake herself up, she turned to her right and noticed that she hadn't slept alone.

​She had slept with Cody, one of Gemma Winter's friends, who she had met last night in Club ♣ 47, which is a nightclub in the Manchester Town Centre. Sarah freaked out at the sight of Cody being in her bed, freaking out as she obviously has no recollection of what happened just a few hours ago, so Sarah quickly climbed out of bed and Cody woke.

​"Hey!", Cody said, looking at Sarah who was stood at the end of her bed freaking out and looking paranoid. "Don't hey me!. What you doing here?!", Sarah said, confused, wondering why he was in her bed. "Don't you remember?, you led me here, and before we knew it, we were you know..in bed", Cody smiled, reassuring that it was the truth. "Sorry..I", Sarah said, touching her head, confused. "Don't worry angel. Come here.", Cody said, aiding Sarah to come for a hug. "It wears off soon", Cody said. "I hope so. I don't want my Bethany seeing me in this state", Sarah said, looking worried. "Don't worry.", Cody said, as he cuddled Sarah, brushing his hands through her hair, kissing her forehead..

​A moment later, They stood themselves up from laying down on the bed. Cody picked up his pants and sat down on the bed so that he could get dressed. Sarah looked at the time on her alarm clock and saw it was 9:30am. Sarah is due to start work today at the Rovers Return Inn as she works behind the bar. She had completely forgot she was on the rota today as she had swapped shifts with Eva Price.

​"Sorry to rush you, but could you make yourself scared?. I have to go work soon", Sarah said, looking down at Cody as he was getting his shoes on, tying his shoelace. "Surely not. You don't want anyone to see..", Cody said. "I have to go in. Can't pull a sickie", Sarah said, pleading with Cody. "Alright. We catch up soon then?", Cody said. "Sure. I finish round half 5", Sarah said, smiling. "Alright", Cody said as they made their way into the lounge.

​Gemma had also stayed the night, because she was asleep on the sofa. Just then, Sarah shook her gently and said "You need to wake now hun. I have work", Sarah said. "You never said", as Gemma lifted her head up from off the pillow. "I forgot I swapped shifts with Eva. Sorry", Sarah said with a frown on her face as Gemma sat up. "Time is it?", Gemma asked. "9:35am", Sarah said. "Can I just have a water? I'm all dry.", Gemma said. "Sure, then you have to go", Sarah said. "Yeah sure", Gemma said as Sarah looked at them both.

​Sarah's pupils were still wide in her brown eyes from the effects of last night. What she got herself into was indisputable and she should never had done what she did, but of course, Sarah has a reason, a purpose to feel at low ebb after the trauma involving Callum Logan and Kylie on that fateful night egging on her mind. She feels regret for leading Callum astray..

​"Sarah!, Gemma said, snapping her fingers in front of Sarah's face. "Sorry.", Sarah said as she was coming round from one of her moments. She had been having episodes lately where she would just wonder into her own world. "Can I have that water?", Gemma said. "Yeah sure", as Sarah stepped into the kitchen. She picked up a glass from the cupboard and turned on the tap to fill it with some fresh cold water for Gemma.

​Once Sarah had filled the glass, she passed the glass of water to Gemma, who quickly began drinking the water, downing it as she must've been thirsty. "We'll go now Sarah. See you soon", as they headed towards the door. "Yeah, bye", as Sarah opened her front door. When Gemma and Cody made their way out of the front door, Sarah quickly closed the door and sighed, standing in horror, looking guilty.. But she cant turn the clock back now...​

Elsewhere...

​Alya Nazir was kneeling down by the toilet sink. The expression on her face shows that she is riddled with guilt as she regrets sleeping behind her fiancée's back with the likes of local builder, Jason Grimshaw. Alya knows that she can't keep hiding away from what is the truth. She needs to tell Gary, but is worried what effect it would have on the person she truly loves and of course, her family.

​"You alright Alya?, you've been a while", her brother Zeedan said from the upstairs landing. "Just a sec", Alya responded, as she wept silently. The guilt was getting to her feelings. She doesn't wish her pain amongst anyone else more than herself right now. "Okay", Zeedan said as he headed downstairs.

​Once Zeedan was downstairs, his grandmother Yasmeen spoke and said "What's she doing up there?". Then Zeedan said "She said a minute to me" Then Yasmeen said "I don't know what's gotten into her, these sudden moods", as her husband Sharif looked at her with a concerned look.

​Meanwhile..

​Alya was now letting out a cry in the bathroom, whilst at Victoria Court, Sarah was in a much worse state, showing horror and anguish amongst her face, more guilt-ridden for a purpose, although it all wasn't entirely her fault, but she blames herself for what happened.. So, what now?..
