Part One

It's 7:50am in the morning. Kylie had suddenly awoke screaming, lifting herself up fast. She was sweating from her face, appearing that she just had a nightmare. Since what happened to Callum Logan last month, Kylie has been having sleepless nights, but whatever sleep she has been getting, she has been tossing and turning, unable to get any proper rest.

With Kylie in this state, her husband, David, had decided to take the kids to Blackpool for the day, as he had felt that it's best that they weren't home, as she's in no frame of mind to play the role as a parent of two to Max and Lily.

Having heard the screams, teen Bethany, who is Kylie's niece-in-law, shot into Kylies' room and saw Kylie in a terrified, shocked state. "I heard screaming, are you alright?", Bethany said, with a concerned look upon her face. "It was just a nightmare. Scared me a bit, that's all", Kylie said, hiding away what was actually wrong. Then Bethany said "Mum has been this way as well. Has something gone off you both aren't telling me?. I've a right to know!", trying to guess the real reason, as she has her suspicions that the problem is somehow connected. "It's just Callum's heavies that have threatened to hurt us if we don't tell them where Callum is", Kylie said, trying to calm Bethany from asking. "And have you seen him?", Bethany said. "If I had the answer to that, don't you think I would've told the police?", Kylie said. "You got a point', Bethany responded.

Bethany is just a typical teenager. Only her mother Sarah, Kylie & David know that Callum Logan is dead. They are sworn to secrecy about what's happened, but lately, Sarah is more of a liability, as she very nearly confessed to local vicar, Billy Mayhew, at the Rovers Return Inn the other week. "Don't worry about anything. I'm sure Callum will get what's coming to him", Kylie said, trying to reassure the situation, as she climbed out of bed, then standing up. "Ah. Wanna brew?", Bethany said. "Go on then, I'll be down in two ticks", Kylie said as she followed Bethany out of the bedroom.

As Kylie stepped out of the bedroom, she walked into the bathroom and locked the door as Bethany headed downstairs. Once Kylie was in the bathroom, she turned on the tap water via the sink to have a wash. Just then, she cupped her hands together to grab some water and quickly splashed her face when suddenly, she titled her head to see a ghostly reflection of Callum!...

Few minutes Later...

Kylie shot out of the bathroom hyperventilating. She was struggling to find her breath due to the sudden fright of seeing a ghost. Her pale white sheet face could immediately indicate that she looks like she's seen a ghost 👻 if put into question by folk. Beady eyed and pale, Kylie rushed down the stairs so fast, Bethany glanced her head round from brew making in the kitchen and saw Kylie standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking frightened by something..

Just then, Kylie rushed into the kitchen, and began routing through the kitchen drawer for her cigarettes. "What's up?. You're shaking like a leaf!", Bethany said, seeing Kylie in a sudden state. "I just need a cigarette!, where are they!?", Kylie yelled, disgruntled with fear. These sudden images and nightmares are getting to grips with Kylie since the fateful death of Callum Logan, that maybe everything should come to a grinding holt now, as the nightmares may potentially continue...

Once Kylie had found her cigarettes and lighter, she flew open the back door so fast, she could've broken the hinges. Stepping out into the back garden, Kylie placed the cigarette to her lips. Shaken, she flicked the lighter at the end of the cigarette, trying to get a flame. Her fingers and thumbs brought frustration as she couldn't keep them firmly into place.

Kylie showed frustration, fear and anger combined and rolled into one as Bethany stepped out carrying two cups of what appeared to be coffee. "Give it here!", Bethany said, referring to the cigarette Kylie was struggling to light. Just then, without thinking twice, Kylie passed the cigarette to Bethany. Kylie was too flustered to care what 13 year old Bethany just did, but Kylie needs nicotine as a calming mechanism for the moment. Bethany quickly lit and passed the cigarette to Kylie. Bethany had smoked before, but its not something she'd like for the time being...

"So..what's up?", Bethany said as she quickly exhaled the smoke. "It's just that things are tough right now, and its making me tense you know?. You'll understand when you're a bit older.", Kylie said. "I want to understand now. Why don't you just ring the police 🚓 and try and get a restraint on them", Bethany suggested, as she thinks this ordeal is about Denton and his heavies. "Rather not. I guess they're just trying to frighten me and your mum", Kylie said. "But if things get worse, ring the police innit?", Bethany said. "Yeah", as Bethany reached in to hug Kylie.

Just then, Bethany stepped back inside, picking up her cup of coffee 🍵, because she needed to get herself ready for school as her bus is due to arrive for 8:15am via Rosamund Street. "Kylie? Don't grass that I lit you okay?", Bethany said from the kitchen. "I won't", as Bethany headed for the annex room to get herself ready...
