Annemarie and Michael had been dating for 3 months now. Luke and Annemarie were now best friends, but what she doesn't know. Luke still has feelings for her.
Annemarie was sitting on the couch in her apartment,when she heard a knock on the door. She got up and opened the door. Luke.
"Hey, what are you doing here?"
"Am I not allowed to hang with my best friend?"
"Nope."
"Rude."
"Come in."
Luke comes in the apartment, kicks his shoes off, and lays on the couch.
"Jeez, make yourself at home."
"Oh, I planned on it."
Annemarie rolls her eyes
"So, where am I supposed to sit?"
"On my lap."
Annemarie's eyes widened
"Are you serious?"
"Dead serious."
Annie had hesitated
"..ok.."
Annie goes to sit in Luke's lap
"Are you comfortable?"
"Yea, I'm good."
They just sat there, when Luke said
"I miss us."
Annie looks at him
"...what?"
"I miss us. It kills me seeing you with someone else..especially one of my best mates. I miss the way you would come to me when you had a problem. When you got scared and I would hold you tight and I would say it would be okay. I miss you and mostly .I love you so much, Annemarie Cherokee. More than you'll ever know. I'm trying too hard to not burst into tears. You make me feel like a whole dif-"
Annie cuts him off and crashes their lips together. Luke immediately kisses back. Their lips move in sync with each other. Annie then pulls away.
"I never stopped loving you, Luke. I missed you like crazy. It hurt me that you went after Havana. But that's all over now. It killed me to see you with Havana as much it kills you to see me with Michael. Shit Michael. What have I done?"
"Shh.it's ok"
"No. It's not. I just cheated on someone who gave me everything I could ever want."
"Am I not good enough?"
"Luke, that is not what I am saying."
"Then what are you saying Annemarie. You know what, forget it. I'm out of here. have fun with Michael."
Luke walks away, and slams the door on his way out. Annemarie was so confused now. She had feelings for Luke and Michael. Which feelings are gonna be stronger?
