Chapter 5

Well Luke has left me alone all through out the process of wedding planning, unless it was appropriate. Our parents are getting married on Saturday. It's Thursday now. I'm the maid of honor and Luke's the best man. Great.

"Honey, come on in the backyard. We have to practice how this is going to go."

"Alright."

I go first since she is the bride. When I walk down the path I'm supposed to, I see Luke looking at me. I try to keep my head down as much as possible. Then my mom enters. We do all the stuff that we are supposed to and then I go to my bedroom.

"Annemarie?"

"Who is it?"

"It's Luke. Can I come in?"

"Sure."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm just tired."

"I can't believe how fast this is going."

"Your telling me.I didn't even know Andrew existed until a couple weeks ago."

"Wait, are you serious?"

"Yea. Why?"

"Annemarie, they have been seeing each other since your father passed."

"What?"

"Yeah. I thought you knew."

"She's been keeping this away from me for 6 fucking years."

"I'm sorry I had to be the one to tell you."

"I need to go talk to her."

"Wait. Don't do anything you'll regret."

"No promises."

Annemarie goes down stairs to find her mom and Andrew talking.

"You bitch. How could you do that to me."

"First off, watch your language. Secondly, what are you talking about?"

"You hid Andrew and Luke away from me for 6 years?"

"Honey..."

"Don't honey me. How fucking dare you hide something like that from me."

"Honey... I wanted to tell you but"

"But you didn't want to break me anymore? News flash mom, I'm a human being, not a piece of China. I'm a big girl. I fucking hate you and I'm leaving."

"Don't be ridiculous. I know you're not a piece of China, but I was trying to protect you."

"Bullshit. Call me when you decide to be a mother again."

"Annemarie Cherokee Olsen, get your ass back here."

"Ivy. I'll go after her."

Ivy whips around to see Luke standing by the door

"Was it you?, Luke, that told her."

"I thought she knew. How could you hide a thing this big from her? I'll go find her"

"Thank you Luke."

"Yep."

Luke comes out of the house and walks up to the bushes.

"Ok, you're clear."

"How did you know I was gonna be in the bushes."

"I sensed it. Do you wanna go to the park with me?"

"Sure."
