Chapter 23

"I'm ill" I mumble pulling the duvet over my head, the girls sigh but make no comment.
Lily:
I see Sirius and storm over before whacking him around the head, Alice slaps him on his shoulder but Marlene full on slaps him around the face. "Okay ow" he says, he looks around with some hope but when he doesn't see whoever he sighs. "Sirius she told you how she felt and you did nothing!" I exclaim, Sirius looks at me and James frowns "Sirius?" Remus asks. "I knew I felt the same way but I was so shocked that she felt the same way that my mouth and brain weren't working properly. I LOVE HER!" He yells before hugging me. I then smile "I have an idea, your going to tell her today at dinner for Christmas. James, Remus, Alice and Frank help him we don't want a disaster. Marlene with me we are going to get Lizzie to the dinner whether she wants to or not" I instruct everyone nods. "Lily?" Sirius asks, "Is she allergic to silver?" He asks and I shake my head he nods and smiles.

"You haven't ate all day, now come on" I say dragging Liz out of bed. Marlene frowned and I knew why, "You stink, shower!" Marlene says pushing her in. We grab her some clothes and give them to her, she sighs and changes after. Then we put her hair in a messy bun with a bow, we don't put on make-up. She slips on her converse and grabs her wand before slipping it into her back pocket.
This was it. Dumbledore began the feast and I see that everyone was still here. Sirius then stood up and everyone frowned as he coughs and gets onto the table with the help of James and Remus "Thank you, can I have everyone's attention please, and Dumbledore can you maybe get rid of the food" Sirius says. Dumbledore does and whispers spread around. "So all of you know I haven't been my man whore self lately and that's because I met a girl" he starts. Please don't mess this up, I look at Lizzie who was frowning and I grab her hand. We sat quite far away as she didn't want to be near them. Well Sirius. "So this girl is perfect, her smile can light up a world, her laugh can make anyone feel happy, her eyes sparkle like stars in a night sky. I would continue but I don't have forever to describe how perfect she is" Sirius then takes a breath. "I never realised how much you can love someone, sure a parent and child a bond usually unbreakable accept mine." He mumbles making a few of us laugh "But love, true love is something I thought I would never have. But this perfect, beautiful and utterly amazing girl turned that around",he says as he walks closer to us. "I fell in love, not puppy love, child love, not love for a friend or sibling, not love for a child but a love that made my stomach get butterflies, my heart race, my mind go fuzzy. At first I thought I was sick or James had pulled a prank" Sirius stopped. Lizzie looked up at him, "I'd like you all to meet the girl I love with all my heart. She's been my friend since I met her and I know we will have our ups and downs but don't all couples. I remember you saying once that you liked sapphire and your favorite flower is a rose" he says holding his hand out to Lizzie. She blushed and took his hand, he helped her up then knelt down "Now this is for you Elizabeth Angelica Gold, a promise that you will forever be my world, my heart and nothing will ever change that. So will you be my girlfriend?" He asks opening a box everyone gasped and Lizzie clapped her hands over her mouth. Her eyes filled with tears before she nodded, Sirius grinned and got up slipping it on before he kissed her. The hall was instantly filled with clapping.
