Mom thinks she can just leave and stick me here with Trace? "Just can't handle it here right now" what a piece. That's one of the many reasons I hate my mother. I pay my attention back to the gray wall. I continue to trace each signature and nasty note. ADHD kids are not friendly. I get another text. Trace.

Your mother thinks she can run out for a vacation and leave me here with your load to pick up. Well guess what? I'm not. So if you don't get you scrawny self back here as SOON as school is over, you will be punished.

The class bell rings. I'm late back to Mr. Clemmington's class. I will just give him some phony excuse as to why I have not been in class: A kid dropped their books;  a girl was crying in the stall; that time of the month etc. He'd believe anything. I walk out of the ladies restroom and notice Kyle Lakes sitting by his locker books in hand. He was wearing a cotton beige t-shirt, dark skinny jeans, his hair spiked in the front, and his black and navy blue Jordan's. I want to walk up to him and ask what he's doing but my anxiety of just seeing a man gets too me. I fainted right outside of the ladies restroom.

"Court?" Who?
"Hun c'mon, wake up!" Sh..sh..sh
"Courtney girl, you best get up or the teachers are going to send you home!" Shawn!
"Wha..what happened?" I ask. Dumb question.
"Girl, you fainted! I thought you were dead! OMG never let that happen again!"
"I..I..I..I'm okay. I have to get back to Mr. C's class! I..i..if I don't, I won't finish the year today!" It's true... If I miss anymore classes, I won't graduate early. I'm planning on moving in with my grandmother as soon as school is over.
