Slowly, I start waking up. My head is aching now and I feel like my insides are falling apart.
As my eyes start opening I notice lots of people crowded around me, my family are here and so is the poor guy who I ran into. Confused as to where I am and what's going on my heart starts racing. I don't tell a lot of people because it's one of those issues that I just try to push away, but I have anxiety, and being lost and confused isn't helping that.
'Honey, your awake' my mum says, 'how are you feeling?'
'I'm not sure.... Where am I?' I question, 'Sweetie you're in the hospital' I hear my nan say, 'this brave young man saved you. You were walking and you crashed into him, then you fell and hit your head on the concrete'.
'Am I going to be okay?' I can see a doctor in the corner maybe he knows what's going on, 'yes, you've just got a pretty bad concussion but you've been sleeping it off all afternoon, so you should be okay. We're going to keep you in here overnight, then you can go back to home tomorrow. Your parents have contacted your university offices to let them know what's going on, given that it happened on canvas they needed to know this. They've assigned for someone to help you catch up on any work you may miss. I suggest you don't go to any classes for the rest of this week.'

'Hey Soph, I think it might be a good time for us to go now, visiting hours are almost over. We were talking to Liam while you were asleep and he said that he wouldn't mind coming tomorrow morning to take you back to your dorm. Get some sleep now, I'll call you tomorrow afternoon.' After that the rest of the day was basically a blur, I had a really on and off sleep that night, only getting a couple of hours, but the next day, well that can only be describe as the beginning to the rest of my life.
