-Miles's POV-

"Here, let me help," sabi ko sa anak ko.

"But I wanna do it," sagot naman ni Kim. "I have to make it special for Daddy all by myself."

Tumawa ako ng mahina. "You're not that big yet, baby," sagot ko. "You still need my help with some things."

"But I can do it, Mommy! Promise!" protesta ni Kim.

Marahan kong hinaplos ang buhok ng bata. "Baby, you can't use the stove all by yourself."

Kumunot ang noo niya. "Why not?" She pouted her lips. Awww.

"You're too little," sagot ko. "But you did most of the work, right? You put the stuff in the bowl, and mixed it. But Mommy has to cook the pancakes, okay?"

"Well," sagot ni Kim. "Okay. I guess you can cook it."

Ngumiti ako sa kanya. "Thank you." I poured some of the batter into the pan. "Kulayan mo na yung card mo habang nagluluto si Mommy, okay?"

"Okay, Mommy!" And with that, tumakbo na siya pabalik sa table kung saan nakalapag ang isang papel at isang box ng mga crayons.

Hindi ko mapigilang ngumiti habang niluluto ko yung pancakes. Pano naman kasi, naririnig kong kumakanta si Kim habang nagkukulay siya sa isang pirasong bond paper. Nagmana talaga to sa Daddy niya. Singer eh.

"You're just like Daddy, huh?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Ngumiti siya ng malapad sakin. "Yup! Daddy's the best singer and dancer in the whole world!"

"He sure is."

Eventually, the pancakes were done. Nilagay ko yun sa isang plato at sinimulan ko na ring lutuin ang scrambled eggs pagkatapos nun.

"Baby, do you wanna get the cheese from the fridge?" tanong ko kay Kim. Bilang sagot, agad na kinuha ni Kim yung cheese mula sa refrigerator namin at inabot niya ito sa akin. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, Mommy!" Ngumiti rin si Kim sakin.

"Hmmm," sabi ko. "I have a big girl job. Where am I ever going to find one?"

"I'll do it! I'll do it!" sagot agad ni Kim. Haha. I always knew she would say that.

"Are you sure? It's a big job eh," sagot ko. "Baka hindi mo kaya."
