Inference poem

    {try to guess what it is! I'll tell you in the next "chapter"}

Yellow, long, with a green and pink cap

You can almost always find it in your backpack

Sits waiting for someone to make beautiful lines

Flowers, Houses, Rivers and Pines

Like a small yellow boat, on still water

You pick it up, some wait and some ponder

Looks like a bridge, over a chasm

If you don't know how to use it, go and ask them

Though you should know how to

as it is easy

If you do know, no need to get needy

A memory forgotten on the "shelf of the sea"

An essential element for you and me
