Chapter 5: Finding Someone Lost

~Kai's POV~

I had just parked my car near a path that lead down to a lake. I got out and it felt a bit warm, so as I walked down the path I took off my dark navy blue T-shirt. Putting part of it in my pocket and the rest hanging. Almost like a bandana.

Suddenly the smell of coconut lime came rushing to me nose. It was a refreshing sweet smell. It was amazing. An overwhelming happiness flowed through me as I inhaled the scent. My stomach was doing all types of flips and turns. The voice in my head that came and went ever since I turned sixteen purred in delight.

Walking further down, finally getting to the lake, I was staring out into the body of water. I couldn't decide whether to get in the water or go on a run.

It hit me again, but harder. The scent was so intense now. I heard footsteps behind me and I turned around. As soon as I did I saw her.

I ran as fast as my legs would carry me. She started running to me as well. I wrapped my arms around her when I reached her and held on to her tightly.

My body getting full of pleasurable jolts of electricity. Heart racing. Overwhelmed with happiness.

In that moment with both whispered out one word.

'Mate.'

Gently I pushed her golden brown locks, that were close to blonde behind, her ears. I stared at her grey green eyes. She was beautiful. Slowly I placed my lips on hers and kissed her.

Sparks were poping between our lips. Every time I made contact with her skin I could feel sparks.

~Skylar's POV~

"You two know each other?" Asher and William said at the same time. I pulled away from his kiss although I wanted more.

"I-i um, uh, no I don't know him." I stuttered to get the words out. "Then what was all that about?" Celeste asked.

"He's my mate." I said proudly and smiled widely. I took a moment to look at him.

He wasn't wearing his shirt but rather had it hanging from his back pocket. His jeans were all black and they had rips here in there around the knees. They looked like they were meant to be there. He had boots on with the laces hanging from the sides instead of being tied.

He had grey blue eyes, they looked icy almost. I hadn't felt it when we kissed but he had both sides of his bottom lip pierced. He also had gages in his ears. They weren't that big. Maybe the size of a pencil but not extremely big. They looked good on him. He had muscle. Lean, hard muscle, a six pack and V-line, just the whole thing.

Looking at his exposed hip, I noticed his matching birthmark to mine. It was in the shape of a fingerprint. I unconsciously ran my index and middle finger over the birthmark.

"Uh, yeah it's been there since I was born, don't really know why it's white. I mean birthmarks shouldn't be white, should they?" He asked looking at my fingers as touched.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"It's Kai, Kai Armstrong." He said. Maybe it was Kai, but Armstrong was his adoptive parents name.

"I'm Skylar, Skylar Knights. These here are my friends, Jake, Raphael, Blair, Sam, Valarie, Rae, Celeste, Nathan, Lacey, Oliver, and last but not least William." I said pointing everyone out.
