Chapter 1

"Have you seen William by any chance, dad?" I asked my father placing the strap of my purse on my shoulder. Dad was opening his mouth but William walked into the room before he could say anything. "I'm here, Skylar." He said grabbing the picnic basket.

I gave dad a hug and gave mom a kiss on the check before walking out with him. "You called the rest of the group right? They know where to meet us?" I asked Will. He sucks at remembering things. "Of course I did..." He took a pause and dialed a number on his phone. I waited patiently.

"Hey, Skylar and I are ready. So tell everyone we'll meet up at the gasoline near the park on Harrison street." The person on the other line said a couple of words. Will hung up and looked at me. "See? I told them, all good." He smiled widely.

I stared in to his bright green eyes. Playfully, yet hard, I hit him on his shoulder. "You idiot come on get in the car before I strangle you." I said laughing and I got behind the wheel. Turning on the engine I drove out of our drive way.

"Skylar guess what." Will said to me. "I don't know, tell me."

"I over heard dad talking to the alpha of another pack."

"Yeah so? Is there anything strange about that?" Really, there wasn't dad always took calls for us. Being alpha is a hard job and even with William as my beta, things pile up. So dad is always helping out being third in command. "No but he told the alpha, I believe dad said 'alpha Gray', that he'd send us to his territory in about a week."

"Wait wait, hold up now, when did he say this?" I asked Will with a raised brow looking at him slightly. "About a week or so ago."

"Why hasn't he mentioned this to us? If he told them we'd be there in a week and he told them that about a week ago that means we'll be going soon."

"I don't know Sky, we need to ask him when we get back." I nodded in agreement and we arrived at the parking lot of the gasoline. I told Will I'd go pay for the gas and he could pump it in. I got in the store and got Will and I water. It was hot outside, but the wind blowing was refreshing, it evened things out.

"Oh, hey Skylar!" I heard an all too familiar voice behind me. "Hey Celeste!" I happily said to my best friend, her dirty blonde hair in a braid, her ocean blue eyes had a spark.

I laughed doing our best friend hand shake with her. We laughed as we finished realizing that people were staring. Our hand shake involved more than hands so everyone was staring at how odd we looked. But we brushed it off.

"So who did you ride with?" I asked her motioning to the cars outside. "Well actually we all came in the same car, Jake's car is pretty big for all of us to fit, well it's quite squished in there," She frowned. "Oliver elbowed me right on my tits. Ugh, can I come in your car? I don't want to get elbowed on my tits again. We barely have space and it's hot!" I put my hands on her shoulders and made her breath.

"Calm. Of course you can join us, there's enough space for four people." I smiled at her and she sighed in relief and I giggled at her actions. We payed for our stuff and the gas and walked out.

"Hey, Jake." I waved at the brunette with plain grey eyes, they still looked amazing though. He smiled finishing feeding the gas to his car.

"Does anyone else need a ride? I heard it's very squished in there." As soon as I asked Blair, Sam, and Rae got out the car and ran towards my car to ride shotgun.

Blair had dark green eyes and curly blonde hair, Sam has light brown hair and light blue eyes, Rae has black hair and amber red eyes that turned darker or brighter depending on her mood.

When they got to the car door Celeste was already in the car and winked at them and they all whined heading to the back. Blair and Sam sat all the way back while Rae sat in the seat behind Celeste's.
