"Hey, guess where the twelve of us are going tomorrow?" I asked my friends. "The movies?"
"The zoo?"
"The amusement park?" They all started to blurt out places. "Nope. We are going to," I pointed at William, "Drum roll please. We are going to.... Alaska!" I said cheerfully.
"Wow! Why there?" Lacey and Oliver asked. "Because the Blood Bound pack wants our help in training them."
"Plus the boy who got kidnapped years ago, Kai, is believed to be there and we are supposed to go find out and if it is him bring him back." William helped me finish. Everyone exchanged looks. "Have you told his parents? Im sure they'd be happy to know we found him." Jake said.
"That's the thing. They can't find out. We don't want to rase their hopes just to find out it's not him." I explained to them and they nodded. "So we're leaving tomorrow night? Should we go pack then?" Valerie asked.
"Yes, pack for about 3 weeks to a month. We aren't sure how long we'll be staying." I informed them and we all went to our rooms to pack our bags.
I packed as much as I could for the cold. As I was doing so I wondered weither it would or wouldn't be Kai. If it was, I could almost imagine how happy his parents would be again. Almost glowing of happiness. I hoped it was him.
The rest of the day after packing was spent with us watching movies in the movie room. Throwing popcorn at each other. Blair and Sam kept kissing and being all in love. It was cute and sweet to the point that it made you sick. They were the only two in our little circle of friends to find their mate. We all looked at them sort of jelous because we hadn't found ours. But we were happy for them nun the less.
Looking at them though made me wonder if when I found my mate, my place as alpha would be taken away. Don't get me wrong I'm not a power hungry wako who wants to be alpha and make others feel weaker. It's just I worked so hard to be alpha, I care about this pack. The way I do things it helped us be better then before. We've come a long way since then. I just don't want someone to take my place and ruin my pack.

The next morning we all had breakfast together. We showered and changed. Said our goodbyes to our parents.
"Mom, I'm an adult now remember? I'm 18, I'll be fine." William reassured our mother as I hugged my father and said goodbye. I kissed my mother on the cheek. She told me to be safe and look after everyone.
"Actually mom, you are the one who has to look after the pack with dad while I'm gone. I trust I'm leaving them in good hands." She laughed at me. "May I remind you who taught you everything you know." It's true they taught us everything. If it wasn't for their teaching I wouldn't be such a great alpha.
Once we finished our goodbyes we got in our pack limo and went to the airport.
"So all the guys can bring the bags in we'll go get the rest ready." I said and the girls followed me.
"That's not fair!"
"Come back here!"
"This isn't over!" They yelled back. We laughed and kept walking. After a long wait it was five thirty in the afternoon and we were just getting on the plane. I got a small pillow I had brought with me that my mother had gave me before she died. I hugged it and waited for the plane to go. William was sat next to me.
I was asleep for most of the flight but once we started landing I woke up and noticed there wasn't much snow but it was still very cold. I had two shirts on and a hoodie on and jeans. I had two layers of socks and boots.
"Dad said they're would be a limo waiting for us here right?" I asked Will. "Yeah the driver should be holding a sign that says, 'Knights', that should be for us." He explained to me and we landed.
After awhile we had gotten off the plane and got our luggage. We walked out and surely enough we saw a man in his early thirties holding a sign that said 'Knights'. We walked over to him and he helped us put out luggage in the trunk.
Man it was cold, I could see my breath out in front of me from how cold it was. We got in the car and headed home. Once again I started thinking how great it would be if the boy who is here is actually Kai Parker.
Over the years I've spent time with his parents and they are so kind. I've always wished I could help them in some way. Now being here and potentially getting them their son back, it's what I've always wanted to do for them.
Maybe it's guilt that was motivating me to help them. Guilt because they took him thinking he was me, all because he went into my parents room half asleep during the attack. It should have been me they took that night.
But it wasn't guilt, I genuinely believed they deserved to have a family. He was their miracle baby. I intended on finding him and bringing him back home.
