Chapter 8 - The billionaire's fury

Imaginary Love

I don't know what to feel

this feeling I felt, I don't know when it start.

I am longing for him everyday;

the days that I don't see him make my life incomplete;

I could only see him in my dreams,

I love him everything on him.

Part of me is missing because of him

I cannot touch him, he is too far to reach and

I don't know if God grant this man to me because all of these isn't real at all.

for all I know this is just only an imagination.

"To love is to destroy and that exactly what love is for me........poor Monterey.."I muttered to myself.

I stop writing when suddenly I felt my stomach growled.

"Its weird right that I still keep on dreaming and hoping for a real love to come, "I sighed.

" Don't you think that love is truly existing? But what about him" again talking to myself.

"Hey Monterey what are you doing were leaving soon." Dasnee snapped at me. As I began to hide my notes suddenly somebody snatched it away from my behind. I turned back and saw Femy reading it and laughing like there's no tomorrow. "Whose this man of your dream you were talking to huh?"

"No its just nothing."

"You sure of that." She replied. "Yeah of course, do I look like I'm lying to you." I said back and continued depositing my stuff on my back pack. Its our last day here and probably were gonna miss everyone especially Rowan and Drake who seems like brother to us. "Really huh? I mean what about Ridge, I don't know if you still love him, because you know what since you've seen him that day your mood had been change." Dasnee spat behind me. I wanted to defend myself but then things will gonna make more complicated if I would tell them the reason why I'm always not in the mood to talk about finding a right man for me because my life now is a mess. Instead I sighed deeply and keep on fixing my stuff before I'm going to leave this place. "Hey come on Rey forget Ridge and look for another man okay. Ridge is absolutely not good for you." Femy break in. "Would you please stop okay everyone might hear us." My voice isn't big enough but the sounds of it send them a signal to stop. "And besides Ridge and I were nothing. He is just now a fragments of my past thats it dont you get it." I pause for a while because I finally notice that everyone in the room fell silent. My voice isn't loud at all. Maybe they dont want to provoke me anymore. When it comes to Ridge Im a little bit sensitive. I feel guilty for my reaction. "Fine I'm sorry guys, I don't mean it okay." Just as I turned to face Dasnee and Femy I saw Horace towering in front of me. I stand on my feet. My heart began to pound. He had not change at all. He still the same. A heartless bastard billionaire who did not even care of other's feelings. I gulp. His eyes piercing unto mine. I didn't tried to avoid his intense gaze on me. We look at each other. He makes me more uncomfortable. He is so handsome and I find it very attractive. And I don't get it why my heart beat faster. I had to do something so that nobody wouldn't perceive anything from us. What if they find out. I got panicked, and I knew Horace had sense it too." Come to my office now." He said and move past both Dasnee and Femy who were gaping at him. I rolled my eyes and saw them staring at me. I cleared my throat. "Sorry I apologize, I did not mean to raise my voice a while ago, I'm so sorry."

"No you don't need to." Drake interrupted. "Actually we haven't hear you three arguing." "I just don't get it when I saw him coming over here, he's smiling but when he heard what Monterey's had been saying especially the name Ridge being mentioned he got angry." Dasnee commented. "And the reason why everyone fell silent is that Mr. Horace is back. He is now the owner and CEO of this company. Its been a while since he was gone and now that his back everything would change. He is not easy to deal with and a bit heartless toward his employees." Rowan said , while walking towards us and pulled me out from the cubicle his  hands were so warm against mine.
