Chapter Two - Moving In
Emily
"Here we are!" Elena said rather cheerfully which made me roll my eyes.
"Why is it that of all the places in Mystic Falls, you decided to move in this house?!" I said as I pointed towards the Salvatore Boarding house.
We're currently sitting inside Caroline's car and it's been two minutes since we arrived in front of the Salvatore Boarding house. Elena was sitting on the shotgun seat beside Caroline who was sitting on the driver's seat. While I get stuck on the back seat.
Elena gave me a look. "Why? What's wrong with this?" She asked before opening the car door and got out of the car.
I scoffed. "'Why' she says." I said sarcastically. "Caroline, please tell me you're not as crazy as Elena to actually agree to this?" I said turning to her.
She turned to face me and shrugged. "Personally, I wouldn't like the idea. But it's for the both of you after all. It's for the best." She said before also getting out of the car, leaving me alone inside the car.
I threw my hands up in the air in disbelief. "For the best?!" I frowned.
Not too long ago, Elena made me pack my things and dragged me to move out of the house and go to the Salvatore's. I don't know what's her deal but she's really pushy and It's starting to get on my nerves.
I opened the car door and got out of the car, shutting it behind me. I walked to the back of the car and found Elena and Caroline getting the boxes from the trunk of the car.
"Elena..." I called when I reached her.
Caroline looked at both of us before picking a box and proceeded to take it to the boarding house, leaving just the two of us, for us to talk privately.
When Caroline can no longer be seen, Elena looked at me. "What is it?" She asked.
"I don't get you. Why are we moving here?" I asked straightforwardly.
It's better not to beat around the bush. Enough is enough.
She didn't answer me. Instead, she turned her head towards the car and picked up a box from the trunk of the car. "I get that you don't like uncle John staying there, but we can't just leave Jeremy there all alone. Not with Aunt Jenna staying on campus, who will take care of Jeremy?" I said as I also picked up a box and followed her when she started walking towards the house.
"Jeremy will be fine. It's only for a few days." She answered.
"No one's gonna take care of that kid!"
"Jeremy's not a kid anymore, Ems. He can take care of himself." She answered blankly.
"Are you hearing yourself right now?" I snapped. I saw that we were already reaching the front door of the Salvatore boarding house but I ignored that. I was too angry to even mind the fact that they might hear what I say.
