Keru-Chii
Summary: taemin moves in with jonghyun, the idol known for his bitchy, arrogant personality. taemin is struggling with a traumatic past, and it is up to jonghyun to wake up and help...who knows what will happen.
-----
"You volunteered my home to the Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital?"
"It'll be good for you."
Jonghyun closed his eyes and breathed through his teeth, trying to will his anger away.
"I don't want a crazy living in my house. With me."
"Jonghyun, stop thinking about yourself for one millisecond, I beg you. And he's not going to harm you or anything in your damn house. He's not a serial killer. The only thing he might possibly harm is himself, and that's why he deserves the company. You need company for a much less selfless reason...your ego is too prodigious for its own good, and it's starting to effect the health of others. Jjong-ssi, you need people around you or you're going to spend the rest of your life as a spoiled bastard."
"But I like being a spoiled bastard."
"Dear God. You're only proving my point further, my beloved brat."
"I feel like this is a bit extreme, even for you. Aren't there other less...invasive ways of making me the divine and holy angel you seem to be envisioning? Although I hardly doubt you're going to get what you're asking for, but I'm just saying. Throwing some less fortunate thing into my house with me isn't going to change my badass attitude."
"Ah, charming and hospitable." Yun-ssi looked away distastefully. "Invasive is the idea, my dearest client. Because you are a very strong-willed person, as you already are aware. And for future reference, I would hardly surmise Taemin-ssi as a thing. Rather, he has the remarkable quality of human speech and has picked up the uncanny ability of walking on two legs, so I might go as far as to call him human."
Jonghyun rolled his eyes. This type of sarcastic behavior from his manager is what pissed him off more than anything. Yun-ssi might have a silver tongue, but he'd see to it that he was reminded who would get their way with this.
His manager was spawn of the devil...but Jonghyun was still a national superstar.
---
"Taemin-ssi, please. This is for your health, do you not want to become well? I am begging you to see reason...if not for yourself, for your family! Think of your parents and your sister! Living with Kim Jonghyun-ssi is a small price to pay for such a heavy burden we all carry, you most of all. This is a huge opportunity."
"No."
"I will get on my knees and beg like a servant."
"Still no, Jihye-ssi."
"Taemin!"
"I'm sorry...I just can't. It's taken me three years to get to the point I am now. This is as much a risk as it is an opportunity."
Nurse Jihye sighed. Taemin had always been stubborn when it came to hard decisions. She loved the boy like her own, and that is what pushed her to encourage the right decisions concerning his welfare. "Many times, opportunity is disguised as risk or problems. You have to learn to see through that and get over the initial fear of what could be for what is being handed to you in a dirty bundle you can't see through."
This time it was Taemin's turn to sigh heavily. "I know that, and I see what you mean. But Kim Jonghyun-ssi currently holds a reputation for being an impossible jerk-wad, not to mention he's famous in all of South Korea. I'm not sure we're exactly the right match for each other." The frail boy looked around nervously from his spot on the foot of his bed, fiddling with the pen he had been using originally to mark down the chord he had been playing in his mind throughout the day.
