Summary: Taemin thinks it's pretty pathetic how he can't tell his boss how he feels when he sees him every day. It gets worse when he starts babysitting his kid, and even worse when he actually moves in. He'll tell him. Eventually. Probably. Maybe. Hopefully. Also Yoogeun is a cutie.

Jonghyun ==> Complain about–

"Morning, Taemin."

Taemin pauses in his schedule writing and looks up into the smiling face of his boss. Jonghyun flaps his hands in his pockets in a way that suggests he's had too much coffee, which he probably has. "Got my schedule fixed up yet?" he asks cheerily. Taemin looks down at the planner he was writing in.

"Uh, almost, hold on one sec," he says, holding up a finger. He finishes writing "Jonghyun ==> Complain about amount of work left from time wasted playing QWOP but finish it all anyway in fear of getting fired ==> 5:00-6:00" and tosses his pen to the side. "Done!" he exclaims proudly, holding it out for Jonghyun to take. Jonghyun smiles brightly at him and takes it, taking a few moments to read it over. Taemin takes pride in the way Jonghyun's eyebrows raise up into his hair the further down he gets the list. When he's done, Jonghyun rolls his eyes and gives him a fond smile.

"I think you know me too well," he says. In reply, Taemin grins smugly and laces his fingers together on the desk.

"I'm such a good secretary," he says. "I should get a raise."

"Ha. Haha." Jonghyun laughs sarcastically and shoves the planner in his jacket pocket. "Nice try." He points a finger at Taemin and glares playfully before heading into his office with a wave over his shoulder and a "Later." Taemin smiles at his back, and then keeps smiling at the door as he kind of melts into a lump on the desk.

"You're perfect," he calls quietly at the door. Then he groans and presses his palms into his eyes. A shy secretary in love with his boss, how cliché. At least he didn't take the job just for Jonghyun. He's not completely pathetic. Plus five points. Still, he would be lying if he said he wasn't keeping this job 50% because of Jonghyun. Minus three points. Minus another ten because he's never once tried to tell Jonghyun how he feels in over a year and a half. Well, there was that one time at the staff Christmas party, but he can't really remember much because he was drunk and from what his co-workers tell him, Jonghyun was drunk too and both of them pretty much spent the evening falling over each other and singing Christmas carols off-key through fits of giggles in a corner of the room.

That one doesn't count as a real confession.

He doesn't even know why he thinks he has a chance. Jonghyun is 5 years older and he's focused and he's responsible and he has one of those zippy ID badge cord things but he doesn't play with it like Taemin does all the time. That is some serious maturity that Taemin is lacking. Also, judging by the ex-wife and the kid, Taemin is pretty sure that Jonghyun is straight. He's not even sure if Jonghyun knows that he's gay. Still, it's nice to talk to him in the mornings and throughout the day and hear him humming to himself in his office. He blows a puff of air through his lips and sits up. He needs to get to work before someone catches him sitting around doing nothing. This is a part-time job that he can't afford to lose.
